| They are finally admitting that being overweight doesn't automatically doom you to heart attack and stroke, and being thin doesn't guarantee you won't have heart problems. Yep, seems researchers are amazed at the statistics. I could have told them - a lot of us are overweight, but eat right, and don't have the risk factors that some thin people have, who eat junk but just don't gain weight. It's time they quit pigeon-holing all of us into the "you're going to die if you don't lose weight" category.

| I agree, Nita. It's always going to be wrong to oversimplify an issue. The whole "weight/eating habits/metabolism/genes" complex results in a number of different different hypotheses. The only persuasive evidence so far is that "eating habits" - particularly low carbing - seem to be repeatedly "implicated" in promoting better health.
