| It sounds promising. I love this way of life, but truthfully, I think we may be on the verge (next 10 to 20 years) of having a real pharmaceutical cure for obesity. This might or might not be a step in that direction. The question is... after they have a cure for obesity, and you can eat whatever you want and not get fat, what will YOU eat? I'm so glad to get carbs out of my system that I'll be eating this way anyway. |

| I'm all for a pharmaceutical cure for obesity, but my first thought was that, for many people, hunger and/or amount of food consumed are not the main problems. It seems to me that "non-hunger" eating and poor food choices are often the problem. It won't help to cut intake by 30%, as this claims happened, if someone compensates by eating 30% more calories. This happens sometimes with people who have had gastric bypass surgery; the limitation in quantity eaten causes weight loss, but in the long term weight is regained because of quality of food choices. In other words, if my 30% less is consumed at the salad bar, I'll probably be OK; but if it's consumed at the sundae bar, I'll probably be in trouble. So, I guess my bottom line (ha ha, no pun intended!) is that I'm glad I'm learning a new way to eat that makes me feel better, reduces my appetite in a more natural (seems to me, anyway) way, and teaches me about nutrition, too.
