I saw a commercial yesterday for this and wondered if anyone else saw it.

America: The Weight Is Over! Join the National Body Challenge!

The Discovery Health Channel is challenging people from across the country to participate in a 12-week nationwide event to lose weight, get fit for free and have the chance to be on TV. It's the Discovery Health National Body Challenge.

    WHEN:

Weigh in Jan. 10 at select Discovery Channel Stores and participating Bally Total FitnessŪ locations.

I don't know if there is a Discovery Store in my mall or not, but I might check this out! For nothing more then the free 3 months at the gym with a trainer!

    Jen,
I was thinking about doing that, too. I can't afford to join a gym right now, so that would be a nice kick-start. (Although Bally's is such a meat market, IMO)

Gosh, that sounds interesting - I'll check out that link; hadn't heard about it at all.

You know, I've heard that before from people - I've never been to one and thought they were the greatest, but am really getting a poor opinion of them, if that's the case. Honestly, huh!

I have been seeing those ad's too. I live out in the sticks.. so going to that gym is like a hour or more away.

Just watching the commercials for that gym makes me uncomfortable! LOL

I always thought it'd be a good idea to just rename those gyms "MEET MARKETS" anyway.

They are MEAT markets, but people go there to MEET one another... and such. LOL

I saw the challenge too and was interested... but not invested.

Hey guys I went to the one in Houston, it was a zoo. They only had 600 of the "kits" and about 2500 people showed up. I missed out(on a kit) by like 80 people. They told us that ifwe would leave our address they would send it to us, but I really don't think they will. A good thing that happen was I may be on TV. One of the producers pick me and the lady standing next to me to interview. She had been over 400lbs and have lost about 150 lbs, so they thought she would make a great story. I have no idea why they picked me but they said if they like my interview they would call me. I think its exciting but there were 2500 people there Im sure they did lots of interview so my chances of being pick I think is small; but it was kewl to be interviewed. I really like the site and it had some great information on body mass and fat profiles. I will be using the site for some information but Im staying with Atkins for eating instructions.

If God is for me, who can be againist me?
