It reminded me of the old "dragnet" movies.

Good for him!

Too bad more journalists and news anchor don't do their research and fact checking.

Yeah. late last night MSNBC was still running the same old initial story - with minimal commentary as far as the truth.

Think I'm changing to Fox.

How about a standing ovation for this man?!?!

I am extremely happy that he stood up, and gave the facts.

This is truly "Fair and Balanced" reporting at its best!

Thanks for exposing the hidden agenda of those organizations who operate with the mindset of tearing down and bashing other folks instead of spending their engergy just merely promoting their own chosen lifestyle. Hey...ya' want to be a vegetarian....it's your choice to go around hungry...you won't find me tryin' to stop ya!

Fox News is the only news I watch now. The others are all so into sensationalism, you never get the truth!

You go Neil!!

I loved the title!

So glad someone was brave enough to stick their neck out and report these true facts. I felt like if this was not arrested "they" (Akin's oppositon team)would go as far as wanting to exume his body, God rest his soul!

Hmm. I myself am not a big fan of FoxNews. Their reporting tends to be extremely biased and twisted, particularly Bill O'Reilly's show. That the truth happens to slide into their programming once in a while to me is no reflection of the network as a whole.

We gather relevant articles from the whole spectrum of news reporting organizations.

I've been a news "junkie" all my life and have observed that every network has its distinct bias, as do most reporters and commentators. People just happen to notice the bias that's contrary to their own.

For myself, I watch them all. When I get tired of one bias, I change the channel and listen to another bias.

Let's not turn a thread about one report into a critique of various news organizations, since that's taking the thread way off track.

Here's what I emailed (to cavuto@foxnews.com):

Thanks for the excellent article on the (most) recent Atkins-bashing. I do have one minor quibble with your closing lines, though. You say, referring to the PCRM and other critics, "let them eat their vegetables."
That seems to imply that those who follow a low-carb way of life don't eat vegetables, which by and large is far from the truth. Many of us are finding that we eat more vegetables now than ever before!

Let them eat pasta, bagels, and Twinkies, but save the veggies for me.

I love the irony of the Physicians' Committee for _Responsible_ Medicine engaging in downright unethical and dishonest behavior. They're responsible all right, for a travesty.
