It IS a pretty good article. And there's something to be said for the inevitable bunches of people who will NOT try to learn anything about LC'ing, but will buy scads of products just because they tout themselves as being low carb. Never having actually done it, they will conclude that low carb eating "doesn't work."

Then there's the problem of the unscrupulous:
Quote:
Some foods have been found to contain from two to seven times the declared carbohydrate content.
In a way, I'm glad I started this journey so long ago, when there were practically NO lc products. Much less confusing and it forced me to learn how to eat in a completely satisfying way without them.

I sooo agree with everything Maggie said!

Ummm... I don't trust what's on the labels now and I don't think I will ever just take there word for it! I always look at the nutrition label.. then look at the ingrediance just to make it looks about right. I just don't trust it saying 2g carbs when the first few ingredients are of a sugar product! I also check the serving size.. they like to reduce it to very little to nil portions to make it look "low carb". Sneaky.. Sneaky.. Sneaky!
