Lets hope they do a better job on this than the USDA did on the old food pyramid.

This would be nice if some day to go shopping and not have to actualy read every ingrediant that is in something - at least for some of us whom dont have major issues w/ alot of diffrent things triggering problems at least!

I am wondering how this will effect net carbs. We all know that you have to subtract fiber. The problem is with sugar alcohols and glycerol.

Will we still see these subtracted after the new laws? If not will that be a good thing?

Personally, I don't think it would be too bad if they removed the ability to subtract sugar alcohols/glycerine. It would force manufacturers to put less of them in their products.
