Goddess, just had to stop by and say Amen to what you wrote above. I don't think anyone has ever put it down on paper like this for me to see before and it fits me to the max. I still find myself hidding when I see someone I recognize and I use to be a friend to every one. I don't like who I have become and trying so hard to change it. I feel I have so much to give if I would only get beyond my weight and be who is inside of me. I want to be a better neighbor and take part in the things going on here.

Thanks so much for making me think about who I have become and who I would like to be again.

Just snorted coffee on my computer but worth the clean up.

I may be fat but a good lcp and some exercise can take care of that, sutpid and rude will be a little harder to take care of.

Carrole- for me, it changed a little at a time. I wasn't even aware of it at first until my family and friends pointed it out to me.

"You're a lot more outgoing than you used to be. Your personality changed when you lost weight," they said.

"Huh? Really?!" I was clueless. I knew I was happier and had more energy and all, but it hadn't struck me yet.

The reminded me. Oh yes, I do talk to people now. I dyed my hair pink, for goodness sakes. I stand out now...And what's more, I"m comfortable standing out. Because I'm more comfortable being me...

And I'm wishing those same things for you, m'dear. I think it's not just the weight, either, but largely an outcome of an extended effort of taking care of yourself and being good to yourself leaves you feeling better about yourself. The weight comes off as a by-product, but I started feeling better about myself long before most of the weight came off. The sense of control over my life spilled over, you know?

You just keep on going, and you'll get to where you want to be. And what's more, you can enjoy the trip.

Love this post!

Dixie, I never suspected you to be one to hide in a corner! Thanks for sharing your story about this.

I had a hard time getting rid of my bigger clothes and would often wear clothes that were from two sizes ago. Finally, I got rid of everything that no longer fit. It was a good moment and more than a little scary too!
