Wow! You are all doing great!

We were supposed to go out for lunch but turned out we couldn't go where we had originally planned. Instead of just stopping somewhere just to eat, we came home and had a great, on plan lunch!

We went for a nice, careful bike ride in the nearby park this morning. I won't be able to get another outdoor ride for about a week because I can't lift the bike in and out of the truck yet and I can't ride the hills around here so I'll stick with the indoor bike. I was just happy to be outdoors while the sun is out and the temps were great for riding.

Congrats on all your success's. Mine today was being in an all day meeting where everyone ordered hoagie sandwich's and had cookies and I ordered a salad and enjoyed every bite and didn't miss the cookies for a change.

My success on Saturday was taking my son to Mc D's and only getting myself a diet soda!

Today I was able to avoid eating homemade cookies and chocolate candy that was brought into work after a weekend of being depressed, I have been a huge mood eater in the past and this weekend I didn't succumb to it nor did I this morning. So that is a huge success for me . Now if only I can align my exercise habits which arn't completely there yet with my eating habits.

Everyday's success is a step away from the old habits, and onto the new....
Wonderful to hear everyone's, keep it up...
no snacks last night.... that was good for me, of course I was running errands after dinner and got home about 9:30... and was so tired I fell asleep in the chair about 10:30pm...
anyway, I did get up and teach my Water class this am... Pool is back open yeah...
keep it up all...
onward

Y'all are doing great! Surrounded by temptations, you merrily laugh in it's face. Bwahahaha!

Lisa, sounds like work can be a challenge sometimes. I'm impressed that you're not only navigating it, but managing to feel good doing it.

Mab-way to go on the McD's and the DQ! That fast-food-junk doesn't stand a shot! DH will come around eventually. They usually do...

Mamagiff, that bike riding and the home-cooked meals will serve you well.

Carolyn-I'm with you 100%. It's all in the habits. And I know you've been excited about the pool opening. Yay!

for sharing, folks. I really appreciate the encouragement of seeing how everyone is improving their habits and staying in their groove.

My success is drinking my coffee black, getting away from the heavy cream. I know I have way too much cream in a day, considering how much coffee I drink, so this is a major step for me. I'm learning to tolerate the coffee black. So, on the rare occasion I do have cream, it will be a real treat, something to look forward to, like a good dessert!

Thanks for the supportive comments they do help a lot. My success today was two fold I was in line at McDonalds getting an unsweet tea and verified it was unsweet when she said it was sweet in stead of just accepting it to save time for the other drivers behind me, I insisted I couldn't drink that and please get me the unsweet I ordered and was therefore assertive as well as getting something I could actually drink.

Lisa, great job! I have had this problem sooo many times at McD's.

My success today was having cottage cheese for breakfast. Ok, so those who know I love my cottage cheese will be like, ok, hmmm....but I had cottage cheese and fruit for breakfast when at work I had to go shopping for a staff meeting and pick up bagels and orange juice and muffins and such.

So I stuck with it! I might have had a few too many nuts, but in the scheme of things that is a job well done!

I had to post this success they were having an ice cream social at my work and they even had sugar free ice cream they insisted to me so I could have some but what does sugar free ice cream have to do with low carb so I stuck to my guns and just skipped the ice cream social. I feel so good because now because I would have not enjoyed the ice cream as much as I am enjoying this success.

my step mom made poundcake (the most delicious poundcake ever.) and then she bought brownies with chocolate icing (my ultimate weakness) AHH. and she bought fresh rolls (i used to be a bread girl) HOWEVER! i resisted all weekend. she made the poundcake & bought the brownies last thursday & the rolls on saturday, so i've been going strong! major success for a former carb addict!

Chantel!! One of the things I have found is that I no longer crave the baked goods that I used to consume with reckless abandon. As a result, I no longer feel that not having them somehow makes me feel like I am depriving myself. I'm sure your stepmom ment well in bring you something she knew you liked and will change in the future.
