Mine today was passing up chocolate filled creme pastry that everyone seemed to be having in my area at work and awing over and that happened to be something in the past I quite enjoyed as well but I thought of the french fries I had and said it probably wouldn't be as good either.

Lisa, sounds like you're gonna have to start bringing your own snacks to work! Those people seem to eat nothing but junk...

Ditto what Dixie said!
I have hidden in my desk some beef jerky and some cashews just for these kind of emergencies!

Yes they do they have junk there everyday practically and that's a good idea to store stuff in my drawers too. I'll just have to plan ahead and do some shopping. Thanks for the ideas

I love this thread! My victory today was turning my mom down when she called and invited me to lunch at my favorite Mexican restaurant. I knew that at this point I wouldn't be able to pass up the chips and salsa. I love having lunch with my mom and I love Mexican food! So I can't believe I did that. Yay for me!

And I keep beef jerkey, a small bag of pork rinds, and almonds in my office for those tempting times. It seems like someone is always having a birthday, retirement, baby, etc. Sheesh.

Mine today was driving by Dairy queen and just wanting to get a turtle sundae and two chili dogs for dinner and instead kept on going past it on home to make my own low carb turkey wrap.

today while I was finishing my lunch, someone came in with cake (her birthday was over the weekend) and she of course didn't want it at home any longer... and I didn't have any.... yeah... I was almost tempted, but I thought how good I was yesterday and today and said, no I don't need to have any...and had my yogurt and strawberries....yummmmm

WTG everyone....!!

I got a success of my own....I have been on vacation for a week, just got back last night and I got on the scale today and I did NOT gain any weight!! I am so shocked....I know I am still holding fluid too since I always do when travelling in the car for all those hours. I didn't eat LC either while away as my MIL planned and cooked all the meals.....or we went out to eat, but I did make healthy choices and really watched portions. so for this I am happy, happy

I made it thru all last week without sugar... somewhere my head chanaged, and my attitude towards food has become one of eating what I need, knowing what I dont need and making sure I am not stuck in a corner with just food I shouldnt eat but with lots of good foods around me...
