Good idea! My success right now is that I am doing so well since I had my gallbladder removed on Monday. I've been able to work out at a lighter pace with no problems. I've not had any problems with food, either. I was able to go right back to low carb eating immediately!

I was up 5 lbs after the surgery but I've already lost part of that. I've been sticking to plan and not letting the bounce up worry me because I know I've been eating right and exercising!

Way to go Linda!!!

Yesterday we went to Dairy Queen with my in-laws. It was rough because the Blizzard of the Month is the Cherry Cheesecake. I had forgotten and walked in and then back out the door saying to my DH, "I can't go in!" He laughed and and then I just ordered a diet coke.

Linda-it's not uncommon for surgery patients to bloat up a bit from the IV solutions and sometimes the meds too. Glad you're feeling well enough to exercise-

Linda- How great is that?! Moving already! And an excellent example of ignoring non-relevant info by dismissing the temporary surgery bloat.

Heather, I'm also impressed by your DQ control, and I would have been laughing right along with your DH when you walked back out...

I ate breakfast.
Woo woo me!
Oh, for like three weeks running now.
Heather, I have done that! But then haven't gone in. My husband is the best eye roller in our state!

Good for you Mab, eating breakfast if so important,... gets the metabolism running, and keeps you from reaching for something you shouldn't...
I always have something for breakfast....
be it hard boiled eggs, or a breakfast scramble, or a quiche without crust....those are my three staples for breakfast.

Mab- I'll bet your DH gets plenty of opportunities for practice!

Ok, this is a little one, but I made up a huge batch of Maggie's Cereal today. I'd tried it once before, but didn't have a scale to weigh out the ingredients and it was not good. Today, I weighed it all out, got a good mix, and had some yummy hot cereal earlier...

Ok, so it's just successfully navigating a recipe. But I was inordinately pleased with myself over my success and I have a 3 pound batch of this at my LC cooking disposal now!

amyinok, thats great... isn't it wonderful when you can see the amount you have lost in concrete (butter) and know how much you really lost... or a 20 lb bag of dog or cat food.... imagine that on your hips...lol...
anyway, keep it up...
