 100 miles!!!  This past summer was the first time in probably 4 years, or possibly more, that I was able to return to fitness walking. I had been plagued off and on for the last decade with Plantar Faciitis. It is a very painful, persistent, and annoying condition in the heel of the foot. I had it first in my R heel, then when that finally cleared, I developed it in my L heel, only after being *cured* for less than 6 months. Anyway, to make a long story short, I have been able to resume power/fitness walking, and with careful stretching, really good athletic shoes, and great tunes on the iPod, I got in 101.71 fitness miles for October. I may add a couple more miles to this tomorrw, we'll see. Anyway, if I can do it, anyone can! Sooooo.....take a hike!!! LOL...or a stroll, or a brisk walk. You might be surprised how addictive walking can be.  Happy trails... addendum:got in a walk yesterday; total miles walked for October = 106.83 miles!!
