Talking Looking older? (humor)

Have you been guilty of looking at others your own age and thinking...surely I cannot look that old? You may enjoy this story.......

While waiting for my first appointment in the reception room of a new dentist, I noticed his certificate, which bore his full name. Suddenly, I remembered that a tall, handsome boy with the same name had been in my high school class some 30 years ago. Upon seeing him, however, I quickly discarded any such thought. This balding, grey-haired man with the deeply lined face was way too old to have been my classmate.

After he had examined my teeth, I asked him if he had attended the local high school.

"Yes," he replied.

When did you graduate?" I asked.

He answered, "In 1971. Why?"

"You were in my class!" I exclaimed.

He looked at me closely and then asked, "What did you teach?"

Too funny!

I like to believe I look younger than I really do, and incidents like this put me in my place, like when ds's preschool teacher calls me "ma'am".

I find it odd sometimes when people older than me call me Ma'am... but it is more out of respect..

I wish i could associate w/ this more asides from the fact that i am only 25... and still have people say i look 17 bothers me.. i will one day appreicate being thought to be younger than i look..

I got carded going into a club when I was 28, but those days are long gone! I just really started coloring my hair to hide the grey recently. DD is going into 1st grade this year and I don't want to be the "old Mom". (I had her when I was 33!)
When I went to my 15 Year High School reunion, I was pregnant. Yikes! But, some of my classmates already had wrinkles! AAAK! We were 32-33 then. I just turned 40 in March and don't have any wrinkles yet, probably from keeping them "plumped" out! When I get to my goal weight, I bet they show up!

Now thats funny...reminds me when you go to a 20year high school reunion...HOLY COW...isnt it scary? lolllll I went to mine and it was about that 15-20yrs...sheesh...your just standing there and saying to yourself: what the hell happened to them!...lollllll

you know...ive seen and know people that are overweight...you still can look fantastic if you take care of yourself....i have nothing against baldness either...it can be very sexy too....i married a brit...they're mostly all have bald heads...they all think they are soccer players...go figure...lol...i love Huge Grants hair...oh oh oh....just passing your fingers through it..ok ok back to reality....Maxibee...if your 40 and you dont have wrinkles now you will be even sexier when you reach your goal weight...im 46 and often people thinks im 35-38...barely have wrinkles...like i always said...if you learn to take care of yourself young you will look fantastic later...We should all cover our faces from the sun...thats the biggest wrinkle problem thats out there...im italian and i get pitch black summers...but my face is always cream with minimum 15 factor...and of course...drink water, water, water...my husband just turned 40 last week...people thinks hes older...then he says NO shes my antique...then i smack him a quick one...lol...

thanks for the laugh
