Thread: when is sister's day?

I recieved a email from the flower club
It said August 1st was sister's day ( I have never heard of it)
So I started a search for it and I found a few different dates for it
Like July 1st August 3rd the 1st
Do any of you know when it is really?
Also is there a Brother's Day?

I had never heard of it, either, but apparently Sister's Day is Agust 5th. There is more information here.

sounds like another 'special' day thought up by the florists and card producers to make more money.

i always assumed that we honored our sisters on mothers day that is how our church does it... they honor all woman not just the "mothers" shrug... i refues to honor another holiday that has not meaning beacuse its just something for someone to make money off of...

According to www.hallmark.com, Sisters Day is August 1 (found this when I was sending my sister a birthday e-card on her birthday, which was July 28). It is also Friendship Day. So if you have the time, I bet your sisters and friends would love to get a lovely e-card to remind them how much they mean to you!
