I found there wasn't a lot of difference in the lc brands I looked at, and the "regular" peanut butter!
I shop at Stater Bros, and the lowest I have found is the store brand. It has 4 net carbs for 2 tablespoons.

I just buy the "natural" kind that has peanuts and salt - no added sweeteners or oil or hydrogenated junk.

If you want it sweeter, you could always add some Splenda to it.

When I get peanut butter (which isn't very often, I have a tendency to eat too much of it) I get Laura Scudders all natural (from costco 2 for something.. can't remember how much)
It is easy to over do it on peanut butter... you have to measure it.... and put it away... so watch out.

I get fresh-ground peanut butter at a local store, or if I can't get there, I get Smuckers Natural at the grocery store. Like Maggie said, just peanuts and salt, no hydrogenated junk.

I buy peanut butter made with no additives (Marantha).

When I open the jar, I pour off the oil floating on top and use it for cooking. I used to stir it it, but then I figured - Why do that? Look at this nice peanut oil I could use for other things.

WOW!! Thank you all!

Ok, I had Laura Scudders, (it's all gone, hence the search!) and was ok with that. Oddly I don't have a binge issue with PB - once in a while I like it as a pre dinner or weekend snack with tons of celery. More than once the 2T with celery has filled me up to the point that I didn't have dinner (yes, I realize how lucky I am in that!)

I don't do processed LC products as a rule cause then tend to have things like ukdefrodeflickinatiol in them. (can't say it, don't eat it - my motto!)

Trina, I've a Whole Foods here, I'll see what they have in terms of fresh ground.

Again, EVERYONE, thank you for your help and suggestions!

whole foods natural peanut butter is my favorite. Doesn't have sugar but doesn't need it. My whole foods doesn't have the fresh ground machine thingy but the 365 brand on the shelf is just as good.
