| Anyone know of a nice, tidy way to put a list in a post? I am hosting the Thanksgiving challenge (come join us!) and would like to make the stats into a neat list. I tried copying a pasting a table from MS Word, but that didn't work. Thanks!

| When you click on "reply" to thread you will get a tool bar where you can choose your font, color, smilies, etc. Under the size box, you will see a little page like icon numbered 1..2..3... Put you cursor there, and it is called a "ordered list". Perhaps that would work for you? It looks like this

| That may work, but I guess what I'm actually looking for is a table, more than a list. But what you suggest is neater than what I have going now. Thanks!

| When I was doing one, I just kept a list in Notepad, and had my font set up to courier to at least try to line it up. It won't with spaces - I used hyphens to get the numbers lined up correctly. Name ----------------SW/CW/GW--------cheerleading, amt to lose then I just copied, pasted into my post to get it there.

| You can use vB code in this forum to format a section with specific spacing. This is a simplified form of html code. The tag you use to do this happens to be called called "code", because it was originally designed to allow programmers to display samples of their programming code with the customary spacing and formatting.. The "code" tag presents your data in a monospace font and preserves special spacing. See an example here. Code: sample: col. A col. B col. C ------ ------ ------ a b c 1 2 3 example: [ code ] insert data here [ /code ] If you use this coding, do not put any spaces between the brackets - I just did that so the formatting tag would display here . vB code help BTW, I notice that this implementation of the code tag actually puts the label "Code:" in front of your data layout, which is annoying. I agree with Mary Kay that it's easier to layout your text in Notepad first to get the spacing right and then cut-and-paste between the formatting tags: (Sorry if my explanation comes across as too geeky. It's not really that hard - just play with it a bit and ask again if you have problems with it.)
