My neice and her family are right where it is sitting right now. The last report I heard was that 4 million people were without power.

Yes, we are praying.....

It's a week later, and now our poor friends in north Florida are facing Ivan...a huge horrible cane that is 4 times bigger than Hurricane Andrew was in 1992. After one week without power my lights came back on last Saturday. I had 2 huge trees land on my house, one was a 40 foot palm...but thankfully, when the chainsaws were finished, I had very little damage. The insurance adjusters fled like rats from a sinking ship when they spotted Ivan...so no insurance help til after he leaves the panhandle...Still some in Palm Beach County without power, and they won't have it til Friday...that's 2 solid weeks! I feel for them, as it is above 90 every day now...but thank God we're surviving...it's enough to make you want to move to snow country!!! If I can figure out how to post a picture of my house, I will....thanks for all your prayers...keep em coming!

Gertie,
Thanks for checking in. I'm so glad you are safe and sound.
My goodness, 2 trees on the house must have been a scarey thing, indeed.

Still sending good wishes for all in Ivan's wake. Will this never end....now, Jeanne; hope she blows herself out, or goes back out to sea!
Hang in there!

Gertie - I'm sorry you're having problems but I'm glad you're not in teh worst of harms way. At lwast i hope you aren't.

To post a picture just hit reply to thread and before hitting submit scroll down until you see "manage attachments". Click on that and the rest will be explained.

The picture will have to be reduced in your photo imaging software. I'd say post it in the pictures area but i'm not sure it's working yet.
