Since my Aunt called and cancelled our kitchen painting endeavors, I was free to stay home and do what I want to do!Starting with Friday, it wasn't as short as usual at work, but that's okay.....I went to pick up DD at Daycare, then to Kroger for groceries. DH got off work a little early, went home, and cleaned house while waiting for me to return with little one and FOOD! Yeah! That left only cleaning the bathrooms for me. I went to be earlier than usual for a Friday night. Therefore I didn't sleep so late Saturday morning! I got lots of little projects done around the house....then it was time for "Beauty Night". I started out with coloring my hair, then set the timer for 40 minutes and got on the Gazelle. When time was up, I started filling my garden tub with water and bubble bath and got in the shower to rinse and condition my hair. Before my bath, I removed my toenail polish and put my hair up. I bought some salt scrub that has essential oils and green tea in it. How wonderful! By the time my bath was over, my skin was as smooth as a baby's! That scrub really smooths the skin, and after rinsing, it leaves a light bit of the oils on your skin. Now to the pedicure and manicure. I do my own feet at home 'cuz I can't stand anyone else touching them! Once I had the polish on, I decided to add a coat of glitter topcoat. Call me "Twinkletoes"! LOL! Since my job is so hard on my natural fingernails, I occasionally use glue on nails. I got some that are French maincured, and shortened them. Pretty! I had time to let my pedicure dry really well while I watched Trading Spaces. I've sure missed seeing Vern Yip on the show! I fell asleep on the couch, awakening at 2:00 a.m. and heading for bed. My beloved dog (see my avatar) woke me up about 9:30 this morning, so I got up, weighed, and began trying to figure out my day. I started with breakfast (I made extra to take to work for the coming week), and as I was cleaning the kitchen, I decided to boil some water for iced tea, boiled eggs, and s/f Jello. I sat down to read the paper and watch some T.V. and found George Stella and his show on the Food Network: Lowcarb and Lovin' It. I've seen a couple of episodes and I love this show! The show today was about "Make-ahead meals." He shows more of how to prepare the food, rather than a bunch of measurements and obscure ingredients! I was really inspired to cook, so off to the kitchen I went! I made a l/c cheesecake w/fresh fruit on top, made some shrimp dip and prepped celery to dip it with. I sauteed some leftover walnuts (from the cheesecake crust) in some butter with some Splenda and cinnamon. (I got this idea from George Stella on a past show.)Mmmmm! This evening, DH grilled me a wonderful, rare T-bone. I had a salad with it (while he ate a baked potato), and afterward, a slice of the cheesecake. So good! Then, I finished the laundry, killed a mouse, washed DD's hair, posted the stats on the Halloween challenge, played Barbies, and talked to my best friend on the phone. Oh yeah.....and Dallas won! What a good weekend! I feel like I got alot accomplished, I stayed on plan, exercised, and got some rest. Sorry this is so long! I guess when I have such a good weekend, I just want to "document" it! Most of our weekends are oversheduled or there's alot of housework/grocery shopping to do. Maybe we should knock out all that on Fridays more often! We now have a dishwasher full of dishes, but that's okay. Having food made ahead of time is worth it. I'll be loading up my cooler for work soon. I'll put in some bottles of water, boiled eggs, some leftover steak, the breakfast burritos, a piece of cheesecake, some yogurt, fruit, celery, and shrimp dip. I hope I have room for the ice packs! I hope everyone reading this had a great weekend, too! Take care, everyone. Now it's time to have a great WEEK!

| Sounds like a great weekend. You got a lot accomplished and still found time for you. That's great. I too love Trading Spaces, this weekend was the Vern episodes huh? I like Doug, I know he's an a** but I still like him, of course I can't forget Frank. I think I would want Frank or Doug to come do a room, which one would depend on which room. I am going to make that cheescake for Thanksgiving like you suggested on my journal. It sounds great. And I finally got my own copy of Atkins at Walmart today. I think the DANR from the library was a few years old because this one says "updated" so I am looking forward to reading this version. Hopefully you'll get to enjoy many more productive weekends like this one.

| Sounds like a great weekend! I love how you worked "killed a mouse" in amongst the other things you did. Cracked me up!
