hi there, what's everyone dressing up as this year?
i have a flirty little devil costume from a couple years ago - it's easy and not too wild ... and i get to wear red glitter and red fake eyelashes ... FUN!
i think BF is going to go as patrick bateman from "american psycho" ... scary! but i'm struggling w/ how to distinguish who he is, etc.

anyway, what's everyone else going to be??

I'm just gonna be ME! LOL! Since it's on a Sunday, no dressing up for work, although I have a cute Halloween vest and socks and earrings I'll wear on Thursday (we're closed Fridays and weekends.)

And that'll do it for ME this year!

I'm dressing the baby in a giraffe costume and taking him to a friends.

I am going to wear a long black satin cape with red satin lining. When we were at the craft store I saw some little sparkly devil horns that the baby wanted to play with so I grabbed them. That will be the extent of my costume. Pretty tame for someone that use to take two hours to get ready for Halloween a couple of years ago. If I can find it I'll drum up a photo of me as a klingon. Now that's scary!

BF and I are going to be a priest and a nun. A little Catholic humor, there. Nothing too exciting, but our friends will find it amusing.

I'll just head for the broom closet, choose a ride, and be myself.

well..i have a costume lol but its not suitable to wear in PA weather in october.. nor is it appropriate to wear in the company of children.. so... i guess it will sit in the closet unless dh and i go to a adult haloween party after i get off work on saturday..
its a Catholic school girl outfit.. not to bad.. but the skirt is shorter than i would wear to take the kids trick or treating in.. if i would have to bend over alot of people would go blind.. rofl..
last year i went as Aunt Jamima.. i was cute! ... im not big enough to go as her now.. realy wasnt at the time either but it would take lots more padding to look like her now..

thought about useing a roll of aluminum foil and going as left over or a bake potato.. and get a yellow sponge and some pillow stuffing and that would be a neat baked potato..

dh was a doctor last year... useing the scrubs they gave him when i had daniel.. and he had a mask .. and my mom had the stethiscope (sp) bad thing was he rouined his costume beacuse he worked in a transmission shop... anyway..
happy days..

DH and I are dressing as Raggedy Ann and Andy for a party. I have some really nice old costumes - not the cheesy ones you get today. My mom and I sewed them years ago. She was a really good seamstress so the Raggedy Ann she made is adorable. Raggedy Andy is - not bad. I lost the wigs (lent them to a co-worker's daughter who never returned them). I wanted to make new yarn or string wigs, but DH got a bit up tight about putting too much effort into it. So, I bought two cheap red afro wigs. They definitely won't finish the costumes the way the original wigs did, but they are adequate. I got new clown white face make-up and other make-up to do our faces up in the button-eyed, stiched face look.

teelbee, i know what you mean about those classic, homemade costumes!! SO much more fun than those plastic ones from k-mart!
my great-grandmother sewed all of my costumes when i was a child ... including raggedy ann, a black cat, a gypsy, little dutch girl (this one was my favorite!) ......
have fun!

We had our work party last week. I thought more people would put two and two together when I showed up in the pregnant nun costume. Afterall, I am Catholic and that was my way of telling them I'm preggo. Oh well!

Our town has a really long trick or treating time this year (noon to 7pm). My DH knows I don't want candy in the house, so, as other years, we are going to make ourselves scarce and head out someplace. It's a long time to kill, but it's healthier to do so.
