Thread: Anyone watching the Amazing Race 6?

This is the first time I have watched this reality show and I love it! I felt so bad for the girls who came in last in the episode last night. They tried so hard but luck was not on their side. I love the older couple - they are hanging in there. The married couple with the husband that constantly complains drives me nuts. I wish they would get eliminated and soon!

Yup! I'm watching it! I've been tivo'ing it though and have missed the last two shows. I think I'll get time to watch them tonight. Isn't it the greatest show. We love to travel, so it makes a long cold winter not so hard to take! There is not quite the backbiting and strategies against one another in this show as the other reality shows. Though it has gotten worse this season. The first season was a real adventure thrill.

We love the Amazing Race too! I would so love to do this with my brother (DH and I would kill each other). But I don't think either of us could swing it with jobs, etc... How do people do it!?

I know what you mean about that husband/wife couple... I was hoping he'd be eliminated the first show. Although I felt that way about one couple last season too.

And what's with all the "models" that end up on this show?! Are they the only ones who can get time off easily??

I agree with peg... the first couple of seasons were great! I'm not a big fan of the eating challenges they've added. It makes it too Fear Factor-esq for my taste.

Oh, we love this show too! The couples this year seem to be fighting more between themselves though. I'm sure the backstabing will come soon enough. I just couldn't believe the amount of time some of them spent counting those stuffed animals. They were there for hours, I could have given up and went to put that desk together. Talk about perserverance.

I didn't get a chance to watch last night. I did go to the CBS website and they gave a detailed summary of what happened. It was a non-elimination leg! I was so happy for the grandparents. It sounded like they had a terrible time on the boat.

I have always loved this show. I can't wait for Jon and Victoria to be eliminated, that guy is so arrogant and rude!

I'm with you on that girl - she really has no tact. I can't believe Jon! Victoria is so stupid for staying with him. He's so annoying and very abusive to her - I don't get their relationship. And how about Hayden's comment to Bolo, about him being short and on steriods! Cracked me up!

I tell ya, I want to crawl through the TV and just whip the beejeebers out of that Jonathan. Even the host (I forget his name, Phil maybe?) looked appalled at the way he was screaming at Victoria. Watching her try to carry his backpack and run to the finish and becoming hysterical - man, I agonize for her, being in a relationship with that JERK! I hope she wises up and is able to break free from him!

Otherwise, I always enjoy that show. Too bad that Don and Mary Jean got eliminated, but they've been on the virge of it for several weeks.

I sure would have liked that downhill racer challenge - the NEED for SPEED, yep I've got it! LOL!

I'm with you, Charski! I watched Tuesday's episode last night and wanted to swat Jonathan!! I hope the show eliminated him for his terrible abusive behavior to Victoria. Too bad it's filmed in advance, I would have written to the show today. I mean, that was totally wrong.

I couldn't believe the way that Jonathan treated Victoria!!! He is an A@@!!!!!! I hope she watches and sees how bad his behavior really is. The host looked extremely uncomfortable when they were arguing. I was sad to see the grandparents go - they really tried. When they were in Africa and put the roses down in the slave house - it was so emotional. The father and daughter team cracked me up in the pub. He just wanted the beer LOL! I am so glad I started watching this show - it is one of the best reality shows on TV. I find that I learn alot about the world. It is no wonder it is when the Emmy every year!

As usual Jonathon was his typical jerk self. I was dissapointed that the father daughter team got eliminated. Did you see him after finishing the spicy soup? He looked like he could've had another bowl and a couple beers!
Well at least it's something to watch until Surviivor comes back on.
