A simple scratch and sniff test may help doctors identify patients with Alzheimer's disease, researchers said on Monday.
They found that patients with early Alzheimer's disease may be unable to smell certain odors, including strawberry, smoke, soap and cloves.

Increased eye pupil dialation (e.g., increased sensitivity to the drug opthamologists use in eye exams) is also thought to be an early indicator for Alzheimers.
