| How about you? We have a BIG storm predicted for Monday with several inches coming. I really hate Winter here in the East, but what could be better than a white Christmas? My kids and darling grandson are coming the day after Christmas from Dallas. It will be great to introduce him to snow! He is 17 months old and curious about everything.

| we're having an abnormally mild winter here in the idaho panhandle.. usually we can snow mobile right out my front door... but not THIS year.. although i miss the beauty of it.. i dont miss the headaches. honeymoon has been sidelined with his heart problems ...dont really need the added stress of him having to plow us out every day and nite.. fortunately we moved our business from a place that we had to plow .. to one that the renters do all the plowing... where we live tho.. i am surrounded by the forest .. so i get to SEE the beauty of it on a daily basis... just by looking up the mountain..*grin* i DO love taking the two year old out in the snow when we DO have it tho... so i can really appreciate your desire to take the baby out in it too! the picture is one from LAST january .. my home Last edited by heykim; 12-18-2004 at 05:02 PM. |

| Peg, if the weatherman's predictions are right (LOL!), your grandson may see snow BEFORE he goes to visit you!! DH (who actually WATCHES the weather) said despite a warm week, we are expecting SNOW here in the DFW area! I can't believe it!

| Well, guess what gang? I am having a White Christmas!!! We already have 8-9 inches and are in the midst of another storm with blizzard like conditions tonight. Another 6-9 inches is expected by the time this storm ends. It has been snowing since 4:00 a.m. with no end in site. The temps will range from zero to nothing above 20-25. I will post a picture tomorrow. I feel bad for the families who won't get to spend Christmas together due to this monster storm and pray for the safety of all people and animals. |

I hope for lots of snow plows to be in front of my DH.. and for the snow to come behind him beacuse above normal temps have melted all of our snow from last weeknd and well all we have now is dirty grass everywhere! Happy holidays everyone!

| We got lots of it today. and still coming down. I was impressed - the Weather Channel was spotlighting the mess in Dayton, Ohio. But we are definitely having a White Christmas - too bad we have to drive to Cincinnati tomorrow. & poor doggie is having trouble finding pee spots. snow is higher than his legs right now.

| MK, I think you're in the same storm track as Kentucky. Gilley, I hope your DH is safe and makes it back in. News has just announced that this is the worst snowstorm in our area since 1978. By tomorrow we will have between 18" to 2 feet of snow!!! It is unbelieveable outside, literally a blizzard. State of emergencies in many counties. It was in the fifties here yesterday with a big flow of gulf moisture, then a huge front of artic air dropped down last night. Perfect setup for a storm like this. All afternoon we could hear a poor dog barking in the distance. He quit barking this evening, I'm hoping the owner returned and gave him shelter. Had he been closer so I could have found him, I would have went to help him. I will post some pictures tomorrow. |

| I can see a little snow on the very, tip top of the one of the mountains. (Big Bear) But I don't believe snow is in my future this Christmas. Right now, it's 9:15 p.m. and 48 degrees. It's just not cold enough for snow, but plenty cold for me. Heck, I got cold just reading about Kim getting out of her hot tub and running to get warmed towels in 22 degree weather. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....

| well a sleepless night.. after last hearing from DH lastnight they were shutting down the road he was on.. he found a place to pull off he said all of the truck stops were LOADED.. makeing it almost imposable to even get fuel... he fueld up and moved a little closer just to find that he could not go any more... exhaustion and bad weather he decided to find a slot for his truck and call it a night.. Not sure if he has got moveing.. gona let him go a little longer... befor calling.. the crazy thing is that he was only 200 miles from his delivery place in pa.. being only 300 or less from home.. needless to say it was a very sleepless night..
