Red face New Years Eve!

Hey guys!

What did ya'll do for NYE? Lets swap stories!!! Mine was boring! Went to a crappy party for 45 minutes !(couldn't even drink because I was driving, and on induction) so I got bored fast and left! Went to waffle house where I ordered someting to go...It was YUKKKKY!!!! Then I went home, watched 20mins of the South Park Movie on comedy Channel...and went to bed to wait for my Husband to get home from work, and fell asleep, so we didn't get to see each other til this morning! Our first NYE and we weren't even together :(

Rest assured, Amy, that my NYE was more boring than yours.
I barbecued a couple of steaks and fixed some fried cabbage for dinner. We ate it while watching "Hero" (talk about B-O-R-I-N-G!) Then I went to bed to read a bit but fell asleep. I was awakened at midnight, with my reading glasses still on my face, by fireworks and gun shots. Went potty, then fell right back asleep.

My NY Day wasn't much better. I had plans to do some cleaning up. Instead, I ate breakfast and was so tired that I couldn't keep my eyes open. I climbed back in bed and didn't wake up until 2:30 in the afternoon! What a waste of a day...but I guess I needed the sleep more than I thought.

Needless to say, so far I've not done very good starting my January Couch Fauxtato challenge.

DD and I ran a bunch of errands yesterday, so I was tired. I messed around online and watched a little TV. Dh is at the deer lease, so it was just us girls. I was right here and PMing w/ my sister until the contdown. I guess the older you get, the less of a big deal it is! I was invited to go to the Casinos in Oklahoma, but didn't go. Nothing exciting here!

Wow......do I see a pattern here????? LOL.....
My NYE was just about identical to everyone elses Fell asleep, was awakened by fireworks...(could swear they were in my back yard, but not really). Went to bathroom. LOL...see, I told ya, a pattern here...and fell back to sleep.
I was totally lazy today...I'm still in my flannel jammie pants and sleep Tee...so I didn't even get dressed today. But you know what????...I'm happy

Best Wishes to all for a great New Year!

he on computer.. daughter on computer.. grandson2 on computer.. i watched several 2005 celebrations (only last 3 minutes of each) inBETWEEN watching WHAT NOT TO WEAR.. im in LUST with CLINTON KELLY and i am in AWE of nick (the hair stylist).. moon fell asleep shortly before midnite.. grandson2 fell asleep before midnite.. daughter #! sauntered in for a midnite mooch from me and the baby (then back to computer) and i woke honeymoon up for the midnite kiss.. kissed the grandson2 sleeping..and put the baby to bed after much fighting with him..*L* he was SOOOOOOOOO excited by the fireworks on the tv that it made my nite... the boy LOVES him some PIREWORKS *L* and his favorite word is BOOM! so he got a kick outta the 3 midnite fireworks displayed when the ball came down on various channels..

this morning i slept in... played on computer all day... took babies home.. and am THOROUGHLY enjoying the quiet.. except for the blippin five or six birds we have left that NEVER shut up..*L*

*L*.. yes.. honeymoon is husband... when my daughter #2 was a little girl she called some little boy she had a crush on her DARLIN'HONEYMOON (i know.. i know.. makes me laugh STILL to think about that).. well of course as parents do.. we made FUN of it.. by calling each other DARLIN' HONEYMOON.. *L* it stuck.. and while i like him calling me KIM (unlike ex who was want to call me SWEETHEART as in "AWWWWWWWWWWW SWEETHEART" which of course meant that he had stayed out all nite and gambled the rent money away...*L* ...
uh.. where was i? oh.. yeah.. so while i LIKE to be called by my name.. we DO still call each other darlin honeymoon alot too...

I love Clinton, too! Although I don't think any of us ladies are his type, if you know what I mean..... Stacy's a hoot, especially with the "Shut up!!" thing. But sometimes, in different camera angles, she looks kinda weird. She does have a smokin' hot body, though. I think I actually dress better now after watching them for a while! I recently cleaned out my closet (after watching Oprah do hers) and I got rid of alot of the stuff they would humiliate me with if I was ever on the show!

Excitement seemed to be everywhere . I was gone for 4 days and just returned on Friday afternoon. So, I unpacked then took about a 10 minute nap. I started reading Angels and Demons a few days ago, and spent most of the evening engrossed in the plot. I crashed by 11:00 -- didn't even wake up for fireworks. Today's celebrations was taking down the Christmas decorations and packing them up for storage.

Truth be told.............. I'm glad that I was at home and not out. I'm too old to enjoy much of that stuff.

Heard on the radio:
Youth is when you can't wait to stay up late on New Year's Eve. Middle-age is when you have to be forced to.

I guess I'm the odd one out this time - this year we actually had a lot of people over and all their kids. I think there were about 10 kids and 12 adults. We played cards and snacked - while kids tore up the house! What fun for them! Our celebrations sure have changed from our 20's - but still fun!
