LOL, no problem. I seem to be catching your first posts all over the place. I've been to other boards and have gotten nothing, nada, zilch, zip in any way of any kind of a welcome or response. So I never go back to those boards, just doesn't feel welcoming or comfy. So here I stay. I don't want ANYONE to feel that way here!!!!! Besides, this feels like a big happy family here, which is just the way I like it!!!!

Welcome Ann! How old is your son? My Dragon Boy is 17 (18 in May), and has a whole corner cabinet/display case full of dragons, pewter, glass, and reisin. Plus other assorted dragon items like the CD tower he got for Christmas. It's made like a castle with a dragon on the top and his tail goes down the back and wraps around the base...very cool. My sister is a graphic artist and makes some great prints that he has framed in his room as well(and of course the posters and a deck of dragon tarot cards, also framed). I was not sure which "son" you were asking about for the email. If it was mine, let me know.

My son is 14 1/2. He's always been older than his age though, you know what I mean?
Anyone's son that would like to email him about dragons I'm sure would be received with enthusiasm!

Hmmm, my psychic abilities are telling me there's some penpalling in the future of a couple of teenaged boys.

Wow Barb, those are great! I think I need to go shopping. Dragonboy just got his report card yesterday and his cumulative GPA is a 4.0 and his class ranking went up to 22 out of 385, so I think he is deserving of some kind of dragony reward. What do ya think? How many do you think I should get him?

That would be a fine "ATTA BOY"!!!! Well, you don't want to get them ALL for him all at once. I'd get him one, get him hooked and then tell him there's more where that came from if he keeps doing so well. LOL, talk about being manipulative!!!! Hmmmmm, think I might run out tomorrow and look for one for DH for Valentine's Day. (that'll make him feel really guilty, 'cuz I know he won't even get me a card. He's been sooo bad lately!!!....a regular workaholic )

"Get him hooked"? You sound like a dealer! Next he'll be out on the streets selling his blood to get another dragon fix. I can see it on 60 minutes now..."The Tragic Story of America's Youth Turning to a New Addiction". Who do you think will cover the story?:silly: :silly: :silly: Just kidding! That sounds like a good V.D. gift for your DH. Mine would only want something to do with Golf or Sporting Clays.

Does anyone here play Dark Age of Camelot or another MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game)? I noticed someone mentioned Vampire (which I played a few times in college) and D&D (which I played in high school), but I have been hooked on DAoC for a couple years now.

Jen, I have never done that...maybe Barb has. She is the one who has done the most of that stuff as far as I can tell. My Dragonboy does alot of online gaming, but I don't know if it is RPG like you're talking about. He does alot of the StarCraft, and other "War" type games, as he is preparing to take over the world and "get rid of all the stupid people". Yeah, like that's gonna happen. I'll check with him when he get's home from his evening class tonight.

Barb...let me know if/when you get one of those dragons. I'd like to know what you think of them and which one you get. It's almost like Christmas all over again! We sound kinda like kids making our wish lists!

LOL Lauri!!!! and what is it with guys plotting to get rid of all the stupid people? DH's partner wants to do that too...........now talk about living in a fantasy world. LOLOLOL

When I get one of those dragons, you better believe I'll let you know how it is!!!! I just don't think you can go wrong with a McFarlane!!!!!

Jen I have not played that game. We pretty much just play D&D games that my step-son writes himself, from scratch. We have a map of the world that DH made years ago. There are specific populations of creature groups, like orcs, in certain regions of the "world." The only massive RPG (or LARP) we've done is Vampire......the Mascarade. But that wasn't even all that massive........maybe 35 people at the most. We haven't dabbled in the online stuff.
