I haven't seen anything on that show about Dragons. If you know the date/time info, I'd like to try and catch that. Let me know. Thanks, and welcome to the boards!

I was never into dragons (or tattoos for that matter), untill one of my silversmithing teachers showed us the one undulating down her spine. It was gorgeous, and I swear it was alive!

Anyone know when that Dragon show is supposed to be starting on Discovery??? I don't want to miss it. I suppose I could check the TV guide.

So our D&D game finally started up. We've played ONCE so far with the Advanced D&D 3rd edition rules books. It was FUN. Our party entered a creepy town where the dead are mysteriously rising. We rescued a cleric and an acolyte that were performing last rights on a little family killed in an avalanche. We also wasted 4 harpies. My character "kicked butt". I'm playing a 7 ft. amazon woman with a strenght of 20, with lots of strength bonuses. What a hoot!!!!! Even if I roll bad, I still usually get to whack something.

That sounds like so much fun Barb. I'll set my Tivo to tape the dragon show when I get home and I'll let you know when it is.

I had a great D&D game going for a while, but we just died off recently. It's hard to devote that much time to it sometimes. Everyone ended up with family commitments so often that we never had more than 1/2 of the people there at a time. It's hard to keep a storyline going that way.

Right now I'm playing online rpg's. My brother lives in Missouri and we never get to see eachother. He and his wife play online games and we meet in the evenings sometimes and go kill things together. Bonding varies

I can relate to the amazon. I have a martial artist type character right now that has an int of about 10ish but gets to kick things in the face for stress relief

I know what you mean about the time factor. That's what always seems to end our games too. My step-son writes and DM's the games (with DH helping him with ideas for the storyline) but his wife doesn't look too kindly to us playing for looooooooooong sessions or frequent sessions. She calls to the minute when he says what time we are playing til. He eventually relents, says he can't play, and postpones and then we just never seem to get back to it. So we are trying again. We usually play on a Sat or Sun afternoon until about 8pm and only get in a good four hours. Then we don't play again for 2 weeks. We are supposed to play this coming Sat, but he can't. So it will be 3 weeks before we play again. It's frustrating. But when we play we have lots of fun.

It really is hard to even devote a few hours a week and times goes so fast when we're playing. When I firist joined the military I was stationed on a tiny remote in Greece. The entire base consisted of dorms, a club and a library. Since there was nothing else to do, we used to play D&D all weekend. I don't know how the DM kept up with it. There is no way I could find that kind of time now that I have a family, but I do miss it.

I've never played any of the MMORPG games. I know some people that have really gotten into Everquest, but never tried it myself. I have ENOUGH puter addictions, LOLOLOL. (This site, )

Yea, family can get in the way. Now that MY family is all grown up, we have the time. But since DS-S is writing the games, HIS family gets in the way now. They have 2 little kids, so his wife doesn't share him with us too well.

My husband isn't a D&D player but he does play online video games much more than I do so he is pretty understanding about time. The problem now is finding a D&D game to get into.

The spawn dragons really look like they turned out well. I haven't seen one live, but the pictures on the website look amazing.

Aren't those dragons awesome? McFarlane does such nice work. I looked at Toys R Us for one for DH for Valentine's day, but to no avail. And the Spawn website says they were supposed to be on shelves in Feb............they lied!!!! I can not WAIT to find them. Oh well, I'll keep looking. (DH's b-day is in April, so they better have them out then!!!)

We played our D&D game yesterday...............WHAT FUN!!!! We entered a town that is being over run by zombies and harpies. My character KILLED the head Harpie Hag almost single-handedly. She was a 7th level creature with 90 something hit points. I just kept whacking at her, while she was webbed up by the mage. I went into RAGE mode and was also enlarged by the mage. So I was rolling to hit without missing at ALL. I dealt an average of 15 points of damage to her everytime. It took quite a few rounds to quell the ugly beast. Then, after the smelly beast fell, while still raging, my character took off to help a screaming woman, which ultimately drew our party into a nest of zombies. It got intense. But we managed to whack a hole through them and escape back to a tavern where a companion's Gypsy friends were holding up. Apparently we are going to have to go back out on the trail on the way to this God-forsaken town and examine the Harpie Hag's nest for some clues for our mission. This part of the world is being overrun by undead and there are rumors about some Evil Citadel and Nasty Necromancer.

My Step-son is writing the game and doing a great job of it. He DOES like to throw LOTS of monsters at us............7th level no less, and we are lowly 4th level characters. (The zombies are no problem for my character.....usually brings 'em down with one whack of her great sword.) Makes for some exciting play.

Thread necromancy, but I had to tell Barb. I went to Toys R Us today and guess what I found! I got a McFarlane dragon. He's a Komodo Clan Dragon and I'm taking him in to work to live on my desk

OK, Renee. Now I might just have to visit Toys R Us. My DS's B'day is coming up soon and I already gave him an IOU at Christmas for at least one of these babies!

The fire and water dragons look really good. Mine is sitting on top of my monitor right now. I think I'll forward all my calls to him
