Brrrr....!

We've had lots of rain for the last few weeks, but then we needed it. Still all very soggy and wet. Some snow would be beautiful (not that I'd know how to cope with it).

Yeah. Headed this way, too. Doesn't look as if it will be the worst, and it's not expected to hit until tomorrow evening.

Raining in So Cal, too. We really needed it. To be we Californians (at least the ones from the southern part of the state) don't know how to drive in it.

Be lucky it's snow, we've had two days of ice and I can hear branches snapping outside right now. We're expected to lose a lot of power in the state over the next few hours. BRRRR is right! After the ice, we're forecast to get 9-12 inches of snow!

Be Safe everyone in teh snow belt. N.C., as Lori says, is breaking records every day. But everyone here is convinced there will be He** to pay once winter comes. The entire city shuts down on 1/2 inch of snow. Coming from up North and having gone to college New York State's Hudson Valley, it amuses me a bit.

ugggggh. i hiked to/from the train this morning - just enough snow already in chicago to make my work commute a messy pain in the arse.
my BF works way north of the city (up near crystal lake, you know where that is gregg?) .... so i am interested to see how his drive home tonite will be! IF he's even able to drive home .... :(
i really hate this time of year - the holidays are over, and now there's snow ..... blah.

Yeah, here on Christmas it was sunny and in the high 50's so all the snow that had remained melted. Today it's still snowing from Wednesday night. A steady stream of white powder. The good thing is it's snowing heavily in the mountains. Not that I'm a skier but I will be happy when the drought is over. I couldn't stand another dry summer. But it's not so bad. So it's only 1 degree. At least I'm not back in ND where it's currently -19 and the high will only be -9 in my hometown (this is without windchill, the windchill will kill ya!). Boy do I not miss that! I did hear about the bad storms in the east and central. I feel for you guys. Especially where you don't usually get snow and have to deal with inexperienced (or bad even if the have experience) winter drivers.

Carrie the roads out here are slow going and snowy, but moving. I don't envy your b/f having to commute all that way.
"Oh I wish I were in Dixie, away, away!" Until Summer that is, when it's hot and humid a lot. Sure sounds nice now though.
Kim, I'm sure it is beautiful out your way, with the snow in the mountains. I'm kinda jealous. A postcard out your window.
Silly me who drove his car to work today (1 1/2 blocks) thinking they would plow out my parking lot NOT!

*L* if you check my blog i posted pictures of my POST CARD view out my window... it is ALWAYS beautiful... but i would trade beauty for a quick trip downtown for a baskeball game..*L*
i dont think i EVER get used to the beauty... sitting in the hottub looking at the amazing sky with a BAZILLION stars (no light polution out here in the boonies) over the unobstructed view of pine and cedar trees....no house in view... it is simply AMAZING..
doesnt usually get terribly hot up here either... mom used to tell me that it was 10 degrees cooler up here than in town ..
howEVER the road DOWN this country crap road sucks HARDCORE all the time.. winter ice and snow... summer ruts and dust..bleh!
