well, just did my first grocery shopping today. We did go with the smaller one (18.5 cf instead of 22 cf) - so there are some limitations to what it holds. But I really, really like it. my LC stuff is at the mid point so easy to get to and see what I have.

I did get some LC ice cream treats - and put them out in the old one which is hooked up in the garage now. figure it'll keep me from seeing them everytime I'm looking for frozen veggies.

It does have a bigger freezer than the old one, but less 'just refrigerator' space. But with being able to put big things in the door - don't need as much inside space.

thanks a lot marykay for your update on what you think of your new refrig.. I would be excited too, if I were getting one. Every time I get near one in any store, I stop to admire it... someday, I surely do hope to get one. Enjoy yours.

glad ya like your new fridge marykay...
my son has a bottom freezer kind.. sub zero.. when i go to alaska i always am jealous of his..*L*
mine has big compartments on the door.. (how did we EVER live without THOSE back in the day? *L*) but it is a SIDEBYSIDE (which i have come to believe was designed by the devil..*L*).. i hate it.. cold falls down .. cant find stuff.. too compact of a space... fridge half is hard to get big pans in... yuck.. i would LOVE to have the bottom freezer... now if i can just make this one go belly up..*L* ...

as for STOVES? OH man... i LOVE LOVE LOVE my cooktop one with no burners (whatever they are called)... easy easy cleaning... but i LOVE GAS so when i am at my sons i enjoy his.. (still wouldnt trade my easy clean one for it tho..) and the self cleaning part of my oven is great too!

if i had my druthers..(whatever a druther is..) i would love to have appliances that had the matching fronts like your cabinets... so they blend in... and i would love to have a couple of those refridgerated drawers in my cabinets...

dream on kimberly..:-)

Oooh, Kim, I'm with you! Those are so nice looking and seems as if they would be so convenient!

It looks like I may soon be in the market for fridge AND stove. I have an offer in to buy a house that comes with neither. It'll be me, the George Foreman grill, and an ice chest for awhile if it goes through!

Thanks, Teelbee! I am really excited about this house. I have never owned a house before. This is sort of the All-American Dream House, too. Big white house with black shutters, wrap-around porch, hardwood floors, real tile in kitchen and bath, 3-season room with hot tub, deck, etc. etc. I never imagined I could have a house like this, but sadly, the last owners lost it to the bank, and in one of those "right place, right time" coincidences, it looks as if I may be able to buy it for substantially less than market value.

Hey MaryKay, I think I just saw your new refrigerator on the Consumer Reports website listed as a "Best Buy." Way to go!
