Thread: Rob & Amber Get Married

I watched and loved it! They truly are in love. I know someone who is from Beaver, PA and she said that Amber and her family are truly nice people. I hope they have a wonderful life.

I watched it and loved it too. Some of Rob's comments, though rude, were just so funny. I loved the interaction between him and Colin Cowie. I also loved Colin Cowie talking about how he had never heard of Amber's dress designer! That was just a hoot. I thought all of it was pretty entertaining. Don't think for a moment that they paid for any of that. It was paid for by the network and the sponsors. what great publicity for them!

*sigh*... guess i am SOOOOOOOOOOO outta the loop... who ARE these people?

i guess i can pretty much cancel the flowers i was sending to ROBBYS house eh? *L*

Oh, I'm sure that the network paid for everything. Why else would you want a private thing like that to be televised? Although they've been living their lives on TV for a while now, maybe they are addicted. Oh yeah, I didn't watch, didn't even know it was on, though I knew from the moment he asked her to marry him on TV that the wedding would surely be televised. It was sure to be a ratings hit.

I thought it was great! Those two obviously love and care for each other. They look like they were meant to be together!

It was sweet when Rob was so moved by her gift choice. And what he did to get that house whipped into shape for her! I think she's right, what she said at the end, he really IS a sensitive kind of guy! No matter how much he covers it up with that macho crap! LOL!

I hope they have a long and happy life together.

If you don't watch reality shows - you prolly don't know or CARE who they are! LOL!

They were originally on separate seasons of Survivor. Then they were on the Allstars version together. They "fell in love" while on the deserted island. Ultimately Amber won the Allstars and its one million dollar prize.

Then this recently-finished season of Amazing Race they were one of the 16 teams competing for another million bucks. They came in second.

Rob asked Amber to marry him on the season finale of the Survivor show and she said YES. The network picked up their wedding tab in exchange for doing a 2 hour special about it. Which is what we're talking about in this thread!

So now you're all caught up!
