Gilley - I hope my jokes didn't offend you. Just trying to introduce a little levity into a really bad experience for you. If you were offended please accept my apology. I rememebr when i was in college and had shoulder length hair I went to a new barber for a trim. He just about gave me a crewcut. I didn't tip him becasue it could only have been done on purpose. I later heard from soem of the neighborhood guys that he does that to unsuspecting long haired guys. Well he lost 3 front picture windows over the course of the next couple years and I didn't break any of them. He finally closed up shop.

Gilley -
I'm also one of those girls who doesn't look good with short hair. Post a pic - you might be suprised at what people on here come up with. Have you thought about hitting another salon, telling them what the problem is and see if they can recommend ANY kind of fix for it? Gay guys are ALWAYS good to know... I'm in Houston, and see a lady at a local salon - but she's the first woman I've ever found who was just awesome. She's the type that looks at your hair and says 'this is what it does naturally, this is what would look best, okay?' -- Picture Edna Mole from the Incredibles - Okay Darling? Doesn't look ANYTHING like her - but has the attitude in spades.

Gilley, I definitely vote for the curly spikey look while on vacation and while you are waiting for it to grow out. Geez, your going to Houston, and the humidity is going to make it curly anyway. Just go with it and have a good time.

Gosh Gilley...sorry I missed out on more timely sympathies. Had an "April" experience right around the same time as your dreadful day. All of my 'subtle' layers turned into big choppy hunks...not the most professional style for a 40-something gal!! And then...just like you...I tipped the wench! And I am not known for holding back my anger, but I think I have some of the manners my mother made me learn still hidden in my psyche (I tried to be forgiving because she cut it better 3 months prior). All the best, and just keep humming Rob's tune until things grow out
