If I ever have to disclipine my child in public, I always give this disclaimer: ...."And if anyone doesn't like it, here's a dollar for the phone or they can borrow my cell and call CPS (Child Protective Services). When those people finally come to our nice home in the suburbs to investigate 3-6 weeks from now, they will see you sitting in your room, watching a DVD on your flat-screen TV, wondering how you have time to watch TV with all the toys in there. Then, if they don't trip over your scooter or bicycle on their way out, they'll file charges of false allegations against the person who called them for wasting their time. Any takers???"

Ya know what, there never are. Most of them just move on, knowing they have a brat of their own at home! My DD won't even go there with me. I just tell her how it is.

But, they are kids and they don't know. They need to!

I used to tell my kids that if they were going to call for the CPS they should tell them to send an ambulance instead. Cuz in this state you get the same penalty for spanking as if you broke all their bones. I'm gonna get my monies worth. They never crossed that line.

LOL!
My dad used to tell me and my sister that he "was never worried about us getting pregnant and making him a grandpa" (while we were in school). He said "once he found out, we'd never live long enough to have the kid". His words, not mine. And a great deterrant. "Nuff said, 'cuz my dad's just crazy enough to have done it!
