I know if I watched my calories and kept them down to 1200/day or so and worked out like a fiend like they are EVERY DAY, I'd lose, too! LOL!

Can you imagine the amount of food those guys must've been eating before? To drop 28 pounds in 10 days is almost 3 pounds per day. That's alot of water AND real weight. At least a calorie deficit of several THOUSAND to account for real weight loss.
If no one is metabolically resistant, or has yo-yoed too much, they could be very successful.

I love this show, especially the trainer, Bob. Such a sweetheart.

Yeah, I'm a watcher too.

To tell the truth, I wonder if any of them are on low carb? I also wonder what the heck they ARE eating. I also wonder for the women, why they aren't losing faster with all the exercise they are doing? I wondered that last year too. If they work as hard EVERY day as they do when they film...well, just wondering.

That balance beam thing was HARD to watch! I have trouble with balance too, and I would have been right there with them. I was really pulling for the last guy. Bless his heart. I do know what it's like to see your "younger" skills desert you and trying to convince yourself to adapt to your new size, believing that it is your "age" and not your "size." Yeah. I was there!

Peace, Peg

Last year they seemed to show more what the people were making themselves to eat as they stood around and talked. I imagine the exercise is brutal everytime they have to work out. I'm thinking a few hours a day. Did they mention that at some time? I don't know.

Anyhow. They don't have the reruns like last year darn it so I will be sure and catch each show from now on.

I was just on the BL website and they do have the plans listed Bob and Jillian's plans.

Looks like Bob is using low carb products!

And Jillian though not low, low carb is keeping her people to less than 80 per day, which is a far cry less than the average American eats in a day.

That's true, Noel.

Personally, I was glad to see Nick go. And he's not sticking with the program or cooperating with the show now that he's gone. He the biggest loser alright, but not the winner of the show. Just a loser in life.

I too was glad Nick had to go. I kept thinking don't vote out Seth, he's actually doing the program with you - glad they changed their mind. And what was that at the end with Nick's update? He doesn't weigh himself - it looks like it.

Was he the one who had the dessert at the Cheesecake Factory? (I was trying to watch Gilmore Girls at the same time and missed who actually got voted off!)

Ugh, I missed the beginning AGAIN! This time it was because I was having dinner with my mom which was nice but I forgot to set the VCR.

When I saw the Seth votes I was like "NOOOOOOOO". I was glad to see Nick go as well. He was an @##%*!& Whatever, you just want the money then you didn'tdeserve to be on the show. It's nice when people have truly learned from it. Of course the money is nice but added years on your life to spend with your family and friends is the real bonus.

Oh, I didn't get why that one girl thought she would be the next to go. The blonde with glasses, Suzy, it must have been something in the beginning. She lost more than most, of course she should stay even if they lost the weigh-in.

Actually Matt was the one with the dessert at the Cheesecake Factory, if I'm not mistaken. I couldn't believe it. I just wanted to slap him. Dude! Are you kidding me??

They were so whiny about eating out! Whah! I guess I'm used to eating off the menu and finding SOMETHING!

Suzy was the only one in a competition that drank any shakes. Everyone was set up with like 50 little shot glasses of milkshakes. If you drank the most, you got to pick a friend to join you in having a personal "chef to the stars" cook for you all week. (Instead of having to order all your meals out.) No one knew if anyone else was drinking the shakes or not (they were 40 calories each) so she just decided to go for it. She was the only one who drank ANY, so she could've only drank 1 if she had known.
Then, she felt like the other girls were mad at her. I kinda got mad at that one lady for walking during the competetion. She let the others down.

I enjoy the show and I always exercise while it's on, so that's a bonus.

I am definitely going to start recording this because I seem to be missing the beginning and that is when the drama is.

So Bob's is like South Beach. I knew it must be some lower carb plan.

I would love to have Bob as my personal trainer. He is just so kind, Jillian would make me cry.
