I'm having a blast in this city but, can't find the syrups.
Ok, I've got a pretty good handle on Edgebrook, Niles, Skokie, Glenview and Des Plaines. Any Davinciis available in these areas?
Thanks, Kim

Sorry, I don't know enough about the near north or near west burbs to tell you much, but if you're up for a trek, Woodman's Food Market in Carpentersville (far northwest burb) on Randall Rd north of I-90 has more of a selection than anywhere I've seen locally. Now that's relative, because all I ever see is SF vanilla or hazelnut (or carmel) in most groceries and Woodman's usually has quite a few more SF flavors, but certainly not the complete list. That's a hike and a half from where you are, though.
If you can be flexible, the Torani SF syrups are pretty good, too, and also splenda sweetened. World Market carries them; there's one in Evanston and Northbrook among others.....ok, here's a link to location:

Hope someone else will have some better ideas. However, if you're going to be in town for a while and have particular flavors you're looking for, you might consider just ordering them from Netrition. Good luck!

Woodman's in Carpentersville on Randall, a bit north of Rt 72 (and I-90) has the large bottles of DaVinci syrups for $4.99 in the coffe aisle. The flavors they carry are a bit different than the ones at Cost Plus World Market (they often have a SF sections, not necessarily with the sugared Torani syrups). Some people report finding them at Marshall's or that other store that's like a Marshall's (can't remember the name). I found looking elsewhere other than Woodman's (24-hr store) or Cost Plus a waste of time.

Thanks ladies, I've seen a World Market somewhere near and I'm always up for a little out-of-town trekk.
I'll be here until March so all avenues are good.
Just saw the Chicago skyline from the Planetarium this evening...........I really am impressed!

DH and I went to Woodmans today via Higgins so we had to drive through South Barrington to see all of those massive houses!
That store is really terrific. The Davinciis are on sale for $3.49 and we got cauli heads for 25 cents.
Thanks a thousand times over! (gushing gratitude)
It's obvious that we've lived in small towns for too long when we get that excited about a good grocery store!
Can't wait for the next discovery
