Default How did you choose your display name?

I have seen lots of interesting display names, and wonder where y'all got the idea for them.

Mine, QueenMama, comes from place cards my dear, sweet daughter-in-law made for an anniversary dinner she gave us. It was just family, and she made place cards, and mine said "Queen Momma" and my hubby's was "King Daddy". We still have our little cards on top of the entertainment center. I decided to change the spelling of Momma to Mama, just cuz I like it better.

How about you? Why are you what you call yourself?

I met my DH on-line, and his nick was and is Lawman. When we became a couple, I changed my nick from saphyre to felonee so that it was easier to tell that we were a couple. All my friends say that I'm so much trouble that it really suits me

Mine comes from Anne McCaffrey's Dragon series (sci fantasy). I love it. I tried to sign up under my first name but this was already taken and as I wanted to use something I could remember, I decided to try 'Dragon'. I use a form of this other sites.

Of course at certain times, it can also refer to my mood........

LOL, I think mine's boringly obvious with seven cats (of which two are strictly outdoors) in my household! However, I am fiercely determined that DH and I will not be appearing on the five o'clock news some day so that's as many as we ever have at one time. Needless to say, the vet always rolls out the red carpet when we come up the walk.

I just (ho-hum) picked a nickname I seemed to have picked up along the way. (Really, I'm Margaret Mary). It started with DH#1 and spread from there.

He always used to say (when I was obsessing over some project - culinary or otherwise) "Maggie, it doesn't have to be the Mona Lisa!"

Kumus is a nick name my youngest son gave to me when he was about 3 or 4 years old. It stuck, he still calls me that to this day and he'll soon be 19. When coming to LCE, it seemed like a natural choice for me. After a couple of years of being around here, Sharron discovered it was another name for kefir.
