They have over 370 restaurants in Waco. Here are the ones that I know are either LC friendly, have a LC menu, or are easy to eat at:

Chili's (usually LC friendly and not hard to find something)
Cracker Barrel (LC Menu)
El Chico (LC Menu)
Fuddruckers (Gourmet burger place)
Golden Corral Buffet (lots of good meat and veggie and salad choices)
Logan's Roadhouse (steakhouse - pricey, but easy to eat there)
Outback (steakhouse - pricey, but easy to eat there)
Ryans Grill Buffet (has colored serving pieces in the LC food, and they even have SF whipped topping and jello)
Texas Roadhouse (steakhouse - pricey, but easy to eat there)
TGI Fridays (LC Menu)

Personally, I'd got to Chili's or my favorite, Cracker Barrell since we could do some shopping, too...but it really doesn't matter to me. If someone else has a real preference, whether it be food type, price, or setting....I am fine with wherever we go.

Let's all PM Carolyn with our #1 and #2 preferences from the list Katie posted, and she can tally up the votes....and PM us all back with the winner so our plans are not posted here for all of the WWW to see. Sound like a plan?

Hey Ladies. I know I seem to have fallen off the face of the earth. I'm sorry. I just have a ton going on, and that includes some weight. I feel miserable about myself, but can't seem to get back in the groove. I am still going to try to make it to the meet, if I am recovered enough from the surgery. Maxi, don't plan on me, but if I can be there, I will!
as for a restaurant, I am not picky at all. just tell me what the majority chose.
hugs all around this great state!!!~h

Hey, Heather! I haven't been around here as much as I ususally am....so I understand the "a ton going on" thing completely. I cannot believe the Meet is only a month away! Yikes...I am nowhere near my goal. Oh, well....

I hope you can make it, it will be so great to put faces with names and get to actually have a real conversation!

I'm hoping for Cracker Barrel too, Maxi! I love their food, and I've been dying to try their LC menu. I don't have a Cracker Barrel anywhere near me, and don't get to go very often (as in 1 time in 2 1/2 years).

Food....a relaxed atmosphere, rockers on the front porch....and SHOPPING! What more could a girl......uh.....people ask for?

When we get all the details set in stone, Carolyn can PM us, or I can.....anyway, we'll keep the details just among us.

Now....who's got a camera more sophisticated than my 35mm?

C'mon, folks! Just PM Carolyn and let her know your preference (if any) on a place to meet. When all votes are in, she can PM each of us with the results. I am looking forward to meeting all of you.....SSSSOOOOONN!

Bumping this up: PLEASE PM Carolyn with your preference so she can get the details together for us and then she can PM all of us with the info.

I am so looking forward to meeting you all! I am disappointed that I will not be at the goal weight I set for myself in the Lonestar Losers Challenge......but that won't stop me from heading to Waco.

I hope to see YOU there!

Hi, everyone! As you all know by Carolyn's PM, the plan is to meet at the restaurant at 3:00 p.m. on the day we have planned.

I know it is hard to come up with a time to accomodate everyone, especially since some of us live so far away....but I would like to spend more than 1 hour visiting with you all!

If we wait until 3:00 to meet, my itinerary would be:
leave Waco by 4:00 p.m.
get to the Arlington area by 6:00
get over to Carrollton by 7:00 p.m.
get DD home by 8:00 p.m. (She's in bed by 8:30-9.)

So, if I stay much later than 4:00, it will run me very late picking her up and getting back here.

This is one of my posts I copied from pg.4 of this thread:

Anyone else have a preference? And how is that date? It's a Sunday afternoon. We'll need drive-time home, so we need to meet early enough to meet, eat, and visit before we depart. If I left here by 8:30-9:00 a.m., I would be there by noon. We could have lunch and a couple of hours to visit before we all parted ways around 3:00 or 4:00. I would be home in plenty of time to see Desperate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy.

How does that work for everyone else?

If anyone else would like to meet up earlier for coffee/tea, then meet everyone else at 3:00, I'd love to do that. OR, we could go ahead and eat, then just join the others and they can eat if they'd like.

I'm just trying to figure out a way to be able to meet EVERYONE and be able to spend some time visiting before I have to hit the road. 2 hours seems like a long drive to only spend one hour with you all before I had to leave.

If my DH hadn't just had surgery, he could go pick up DD and I could stay later. It just didn't work out that way.

Please let me know here or by PM, if you want to meet earlier and wait on the others. I'm sure we can figure out something. I'm looking forward to putting faces with names!
