Loved it! This is my kind of music. You could understand the words and really hear the tone of their voices. As you can guess, I'm an old lady. This is the music I grew up with and will always favor.

Thought Elliot show more personality tonight than ever before. Don't know what Simon was looking at.

Kelly..... well, she bombed. I don't care for the tone of her voice. However she can do country pretty well.

Ace certainly looked different. Nice to see his face. Have been disappointed in him. He did better tonight but think it will be him or Kelly leaving this week.

Puhleeze, America vote off the Pickler!! I agree that Ace can go too. I do think that Elliott did really well. I think Taylor bombed, Chris bombed. Paris was awesome, and did show more of what we saw in the auditions! But, my favorite is and has been for some week, Katherine. I tried to vote but couldn't get in on her line.

My two cents

I really like Kellie, but yeah, she bombed big time this week. At least she knew it and didn't try to bluff her way past it afterwards. She should be the one to go this week.

Katherine was the best! Even though I really like some of the others, in my mind she has the greatest chance of winning this year.

Normally I'm not so crazy about Chris, but I think he did a terrific rendition of my most favorite song, something that I would not have expected from him. And he looks really good minus the beard.

Heh, watching the clips of Rod sure brought back the memories of when I was in high school and such a big fan of his. We used to strut and dance around the room to Hot Legs and Do Ya Think I'm Sexy? Now, I'm like Alex57 in that I prefer music from the earlier time periods.

Esther.... nice to know I'm not the only one.

Chris sang one of my favorites also, but still can't say I care much for him. Agree, he is pretty good looking.

On the other hand, Elliot isn't much in the looks department, tho' they must be working with him, but I like him. Don't know why exactly. Maybe because I think he really tries hard....like picking more difficult songs (at least that is what Randy says....I admitted don't know any of the modern music) and has no hearing in one ear. Tone of his voice is growing on me.

Taylor is fun, but don't see him winning

Paris is very good and seems to "dress the part".

Really like Katherine. Like her "bluesy" (that how you spell it?) style. She just might win.....altho' I think the judges are pushing for Chris.

The one I would really like to see go, as I've mentioned before, is PAULA!

Wow, what a night! I thought everyone BUT Kellie did pretty dang well and some were AWESOME!

My picks in order of last night's performance, from best to worst, would be:

Katharine
Chris
Paris
Elliot
Taylor
Ace
Kellie

I don't know WHAT was wrong with Kellie last night - she looked like she had never performed in front of an audience before! I don't much care for her anyway so it won't hurt my feelings if she goes tonight.

I thought Paris dressed like an old lady but I guess it was the era she was going for. I was really excited until Kellie, she knew she did terribly whach had to suck and then Ace. I cannot believe Simon thought that was anything but awful. I picked them one two three, same order as tehy came out but then it was tough after that. The only person I ended up getting through for was Taylor, then I forget about voting about 8:20 and don't remember unti lit's too late.

Katharine reminds me of a Miss America contestant. Not that that is a bad thing. I told my friend while we were watching that I could see her on the old Lawrence Welk show. She's very down home and pleasant with an all American girl quality about her and just a touch of innocence. I loved her last night.

While I still stand by wanting to hear them in the genre of their choosing I thought last night almost everyone knew it was go time and did a great job. I was thrilled as Simon was that Chris did a ballad. He's still my favroite by far.

So everyone that I was waivering on redeemed themselves except Ace and Kellie. I hope one of them goes the rest all do really deserve to stay.

I thought, too, that everyone EXCEPT Kellie looked like they were relaxed and enjoying their choices.

Can't wait for tonight!

:jumpgreen Bye Bye Picklebrain!!!:jumpgreen

She just give blondes a bad name and makes the whole dingy dumb blonde thing stereotype seem true. She reminds me of Christie Snow from Threes Company!!!!

I voted for Taylor & Mr. Elliott..I could barely get through to either of them and I tried for 2 hours after the show!!
Paris gave me goose bumps!

and I thought that they were going to be singing Rod Stewart songs? But, when Chris came out and sang the Louis Armstrong song....I thought...ok???

Rock on Elliot and Taylor!!

What they sang was Rod Stewart singing the oldies - he's had 4 albums of "crooner" type songs and that's what they had to choose from.

LOL about the "dingy blonde" and you're right, she IS "Chrissy" from "Three's Company!"

Bingo! That's who she reminds me of! Ok, well, I really did like that show when it was on. John Ritter was so funny and I loved Audra Lindley as Mrs. Roper.

Char & Catlady,
Ya that is what I finally discovered last night! Chrissy from Three's Company! I told my beau that and he is like....you're so right about that!
Ah Duh!??? Dippy and Daffy~!
I hope that she is gone tonight~
However, I am sure that I will be disappointed once again:( and poor hottie Ace will be out the door! And I will have to suffer another week with her, thank heavens for fast forward on TIVO!!!!!!!:great:

100% agreement there.

Kellie needs to be on Nashville Star....or Hee Haw. Don't misunderstand. I like country music. But she annoys me. My teenage babysitter looooves her, though. I thought she did all right last week with Queen, but she left out the hardest part of Bohemian Rhapsody ("I see a little silhouetta of man, scaramouche, scaramouche can you do the fandango. Thunderbolt and lightning very very frightening. Galileo.....)

My prediction is Ace will leave us tonight. At least he'll be leaving on a high note. I enjoyed his performance last night.

You were right on, Emily!

Now, why doesn't Kellie leave???????? Her performance this week was just ghastly! Let's see what she does next week with Andrea Bocelli! Katharine should really shine in this one. Should be a very interesting show next week.

Do you think people are voting for Kellie because of popularity and not talent? (Not that I am naive or anything :silly: )

Peace, Peg
