Boomer is so sweet. I spent last night at my mom's house and have just gotten out of a half hour cuddle of my cat Heidi to make up to her that she had to sleep by herself last night.

Talking Re: Pets

Looks like we're having a family reunion! Our cat, Tinkerbell, is a tuxedo cat, too!

Once upon a time, a couple adopted a dog that was born into a home with LOTS of pets, including many cats. Later, the couple had a baby, which the dog loves very much. When the baby turned 6, she wanted to get a kitten. The dog was very excited when the kitten came home from the SPCA. Here are some pictures of their story.....this is the pic I call the "Little Lion Lays Down With the Big Lamb".

Next, my dog becomes a Mom!

Sorry the pix are so big. I reduced them to the proper amount of KB's and they still load up big! I'm so techno-challenged!

Priscilla is my dog's name. (Her brother was a black and grey Border/Aussie named Elvis!) She was spayed at 6 months so she never had pups.....but she makes a great Mommy anyway!

I tried reducing AND resizing....so let's see if this is better:

Look at the gleam in her little eyes! That's one loudly purring, happy "baby cat"!

I'll play around with the sizing more and post some more of Tinkerbell....."All Grown Up".

Meanwhile, Esther turned me on to a website called Cats in Sinks....there is a cat there that is a perfect twin for Tinkerbell. There are THOUSANDS on this site. Too funny!

That dog reminds me of a dog we had when I was a kid, a big reddish color dog. He's sleep on the front porch in the winter, and all the other animals would be curled up next to him for warmth. A duck, and cats, and the occasional chicken. He just took it in stride.

And the name Tinkerbell. A friend got a cat for her granddaughter, went to get it spayed, and the vet already had the cat open when he discovered she was a boy! They all took it for granted it was a girl, because that's what the lady who gave it to them said it was, and it was so hairy no one bothered to look. So, they named him Tinkerbell. He ended up being a 16 lb cat, mostly due to his fur.

Priscilla's mom was a big, gorgeous full-blood black-n-white Border Collie, and her dad was a reddish Australian Shepard, a bit smaller. I think she got the best of both worlds: Mom's pattern and Dad's coloring. She's the most loving, loyal and sweet animal I've ever known.

(Do I know how to clear a room or what? Once the Tinky pix started showing up, this thread all but died!)
Oh, well.....here's another: "Stinkerbell".....still a kitten at heart!

Priscilla is one tolerant dog. Since the weather has been getting colder here I often find Rook (burmese) curled up against Lance (golden retriever). Lance usually has a pained look on his face but he won't move unless we call him.

She and Tinky are proof positive that hate is a learned behavior! She LOVES cats.....in the house, but if they are in her yard.....watch out!

(As Tinker got older, I think Pris was trying to "wean" her! Now, every once in a while, Tinker will still try to nurse on her belly.)
