I love my little boy Indie so much I wanted to share him with all of you. He just turned 3 and every day he astounds me.

I have never really have a pet like this, I have had many birds and reptiles, but this is the first animal that lived with me that will actually come and kiss and cuddle me when he knows I need it.

I got him when he was 6 weeks old, after breaking up up my fiancee of over 9 years, he has been nothing but a joy and comfort to me, and my endless companion.

Anyway, I will stop gushing now, here is my little baby...

Nicky - he looks almost identical to my ToTo, who died 3 years ago (at the age of 16)! OH so cute...and such good best friends!

I bet he loves YOU as much as you love HIM too!

He is a handsome little boy, and also the most photographed cat in history!

Char have you got any photos of ToTo? Any amusing anecdotes? My little boy is the apple of my eye. He sleeps by my feet in bed, he also loves to "help" me when I am on the computer. He also waits for me to come home right in the middle of my driveway , when I go out in the evening.

His favourite food is of course, whatever I am eating. His favourite pastime is whatever I am doing!

That includes sharing the bath!

ToTo was so named because she was polydigital - had 5 toes on each hind foot and 7 on each front foot!

She and her littermate Lucky were rescued by me when they were about 5 weeks old. Lucky is so named because she survived a trip through the fanbelt of my truck! She is solid black and still with us at nearly 19 years of age. At her prime she weighed 7 pounds, ToTo was maybe 8. ToTo dearly loved my DH and wouldn't leave him alone whenever he sat down someplace. Lucky, OTOH, was MY cat - well since ToTo died, Lucky has taken up the task of keeping Daddy company! LOL! Poor guy - he can't be in his computer chair or his recliner more than 5 minutes before Lucky shows up, meowing to be lifted up.

ToTo was a mighty huntress - she used to bring me all manner of LIVE creatures and turn them loose in the house! Birds, lizards, mice...UGH! She never killed them though, until about 3 weeks before she died. She had kidney tumors. One day we arrived home after her diagnosis to find that she had caught a gopher, taken it into DH's bathroom, and devoured a good portion of it on the bathroom rug. AACCCKK!! Luckily it's DH's detail to dispatch dead critters! (Mine is litterbox/cat warfage duty.)

I miss her. We thought we saw her several times after we had to have her put to sleep and more than once I was sure I heard her cute little meow!!

Oh gosh, Indie is so adorable and the spitting image of our Charlie!

My Skeety was much like Indie in being my wonderful companion through thick and thin for 16 years until we had to put him to sleep almost four years ago. I still miss him very much.

I need to get a digital camera so that I can post some pictures of our brood. Our youngest will be a year old around the end of this month. Bette's a dark tortie who was brought to our door last June in deplorable condition, she was literally skin and bone. In my lifetime of being around cats I had never seen one in such bad shape. Now she's plump and healthy, cute as a bug and has charm to spare. She's even won over Charlie (whose nickname when younger was "Spawn of Satan") and has become his special buddy. We really didn't need a fifth cat but now we wouldn't trade her for anything in the world.

I have two kitties too! Mittens and (Miss) Ginger! They are my company, my friends, they love to sleep with me and they love to cuddle and they know what the word dinner means! They are what I call fancy feast cats!
We will be moving to Florida & that is going to be a long trip for them, I will have to sit them down and talk to them first. Then I am going to have to break it to them that I will be getting a chihauhau!! Yikes

Nicky - they DO look like twins! ToTo didn't have quite as much white on the upper nose as Indie has but otherwise they look like clones.

Here's another cute story - at one time, we had three cats - Miss Kitty, the ruler of the roost (and also black, somehow I attract black cats!) and then ToTo and Lucky.

Kitty would not tolerate the other two being near her because SHE was not a CAT and obviously THEY were. She would simply pass by them with disdain and contempt in her demeanor.

WELL. New people moved in next door to us. One day I opened up my front door, which looked at their kitchen window, and in that window looking OUT was - ToTo! or so I thought - but NOT, as here came ToTo herself! They had a little male kitten that was the spittin' image of ToTo. One day, he came by to visit, and Kitty was out front. She walked by him as if he didn't exist, just as she always did with ToTo and Lucky, who both knew enough to give her WIDE berth. Of course, the neighbor kitty had no such inhibitions and as Kitty passed him, he jumped playfully at her and boxed her butt! She went STRAIGHT up in the air like a cartoon cat, and came down hissing and spitting - gave him THE LOOK, turned and marched with every ounce of dignity she could muster into the house, where she sulked the rest of the day and scolded both ToTo and Lucky every time they were within 10 feet of her! LOL! DH and I watched the whole episode and we still laugh about it to this day. Kitty has been gone nearly 10 years now so that was probably 11-12 years ago and I can see the whole scenario in minute detail still! Too funny!

I love cats - they are such cool creatures.

PQ, your kitties will adjust fine, I'm sure - are they riding in a car that distance? I bet they will serenade you the whole way! LOL!

Just had to chime in -- no digital photos, but I have two cats, Patches and Zeke. Between the two of them, they make the perfect cat, LOL!

Patches is very gregarious and outgoing and likes to meet everyone who comes over and make them pet him. He likes to cuddle during the day but likes to roam at night (in the house). He's the original curious cat, always checking everything out, and strange sounds mean he needs to go investigate.

Zeke is very shy, and most of the people who visit my house dispute my assertion that I have two cats, as they've never even seen Zeke. He isn't much for cuddling but loves to sleep all night on the foot of my bed, purring us both to sleep. Zeke likes to be out and about (and under foot) when it's just me, but even then he's always listening for any strange sounds that might mean he needs to go hide.

Quite an amazing likeness between indie and toto! Both very, very handsome kitties, too.

I have a tuxedo kitty, MeToo, but he is sporting a grey tux and white jabot!

I have MeToo's brother, Boomer - my friend rescued and fostered most of their litter. And, then there's our old girl, Bumble, too. She's a wweetie pie, but a bit neurotic.
