Thanks, Bren!

That stuff is not in my house, since it is not BGL friendly for me. Brutus is safe, but others should be aware.

Thank Brenda! That will go on my list of things that dogs and cats can't have.
It's becoming a pretty long list.

Thanks! Maybe we should make a list of things that we've read that are dangerous to dogs (or cats). I've also heard that chocolate, grapes and I think it was macadamia nuts are dangerous for dogs. What else?

I just read a story about a dog and two cats going into liver failure after walking on floors washed with a swiffer wet jet. apparently the cleaning solution contains an antifreeze-like chemical and because you just squirt it on without diluting or rinsing, animals can be poisoned when they lick their paws after walking on it

Goalie, this is one of those "urban myths" that has been circulating for---well I know for two years at least. I know these emails sound so plausible, but there is no truth in them.

Paracetomol is deadly for both dogs and cats - this has been confirmed by my vet.

Onions, garlic and leeks are supposedly not good for dogs - I think these are supposed to affect kidney or liver function.

And Lance's breeder swears that potatoes can cause skin problems in golden retrievers - since she has bred goldens for over 40 years I decided to take her word for that one so Lance only gets potato products when he steals them.

I hadn't heard abnout macadamia nuts being a problem for dogs before. Any idea what these do?
