Default Biggest Loser

Just wanted to let all you Biggest Loser fans know that they'll be a new show on tonight!! I'm excited because today we'll see all the previous contestants and if they were able to keep it off. Next Tuesday will be the 2 hour premier.

I love to watch Biggest Loser. I find it very motivating. I scheduled it on DVR last night, but now the DVR function is not working. Have the cable company coming out on Friday, so I BETTER be able to see it then!
I tried to watch some of Fat March, but it is not as good as Biggest Loser.
If I can't get the DVR to work I will bug you for details!

Mab - Let me know if I need to fill you in. Lisa can help me fill in the gaps if your DVR doesn't run the show.
-
Lisa - I saw that! So, Diet coke hinders weight loss? Is that what she said? Sometimes with my kids I get distracted and Tuesday wished I would have both watched and recorded a few times. I haven't had diet soda in weeks, just haven't craved it. But I've been drinking my coffee and tea to help out too.

I have about 2 sodas a week...I have cut weigh down...use to go to the corner store and get an extra, extra large diet pepsi (Fountain drink)every day! I have really upped my water intake...sip all day long..seems to help tremendously.
Heather...have you every tried the walmart Great Value SF drink mixes..they are located by the crystal light and wyler's powdered drink mixes. That is all we have around here. The Kids love it..SF cranberry is their fav..I like the SF peach tea. Give it a try...not bad at all!

That sounds wonderful especially since I love flavored water. I'll be on the lookout now for sales. I drink the Black Cherry flavored water from Wal-mart. For 50cents a 4 serving bottle it really is a nice way to get in my water.

I like the Great Value orange drink, and the peach tea, which is decaf, btw. Another brand, Spark, has caffeine, and the ruby red grapefruit is excellent, and the apple. Heather, I still look for bargains, and I don't have to skimp. It's a habit I got into when we were raising the kids and I was a work at home mom, and that habit has stuck with me. I figure it will come in handy when I retire and my income gets slashed. But then, I won't have to buy work clothes!

Never got into the Biggest Loser, but I'm glad that people are being made aware of the health benefits of losing weight. Enjoy the show!

Heather,
Ok, I need to be filled in on the show! Our DVR recorded but wouldn't play. Then to fix it I had to turn off the tuner and turn it back on. And guess what? That erased all of my recordings. Argh!

Oh man! I missed it!

1. Does anyone know if they'll be re-running this episode?

2. If not, can someone tell me about the Diet Coke comments? (I really need to break my addiction!)

Thanks!

OK, not to hijack my own post or anything, but I did find some interesting articles about Diet Coke hindering weightloss. I've heard this before, but never did the research to see why. Thought I'd post some of the links:

http://www.emaxhealth.com/11/586.html

http://www.newstarget.com/004416.html
(BTW... I ordered the softdrink book... have to read this!)
ETA: Even though it sounds a bit Kevin Trudeau-ish...

http://www.abcnews.go.com/GMA/story?id=3447205

http://www.rense.com/general3/asper.htm

However, I'd still like to know what was said about it on the show... if anyone remembers.

I don't see where they are rerunning the first episode. I hope my dvr doesn't screw up any of the episodes. Last year it only happened once but I was devistated, lol.

I love that Alison Sweeney is on now. I'm a huge DOL Sami fan. She has her own weight struggles and really slimmed down from a few years ago so she can relate. Maybe not to being morbidly obese but to watching everything she eats and exercising off the pounds.

It should be interesting with all three trainers on this year. Can't wait.

If my DVR or my son getting a hold of my remote messes up any of the episodes I will be sad.
Thanks for all of the links for the diet coke. Really interesting.
