| Would appreciate if some of you folks would take a look at my site and see what you think. I'm trying to put together a reasonably neutral look at LC eating and other stuff from my perspective. I don't want to come across as some sort of final authority but just an active investigator with some experience to pass on. I also think I have some decent links on related subjects buried throught the pages. It is a work in progress but starting to shape up. Is it too much? LOL Lots of email links in the pages to send me back your comments and take some time and sign my guest book. TANX!!! HANG IN THERE!!! | I enjoyed visiting your site and don't think your lc story is over the top at all! I went to look at the pictures of your bikes, but it seems that the links to the pictures were broken. All in all, I think it's shaping up nicely. Maggie 5'1" ~~ Atkins since '98 (160)/Maintaining nicely (110) ~~ Redhead until further notice! |

| HMMM, Thanks Maggie! I wonder if the pics are still too "big". I can see them from work (off of my insight home connection) which is not a dial up but it is a partial (128K) T1. They might take more time to load than I want. I was able to see the pictures from another computer this morning. Did they not load or perhaps were still loading. http://home.insightbb.com/~athuddriv...kes/bikes.html TANX! HANG IN THERE!!! | Don, It's not a timing out kind of problem. I've got a really speedy cable connection here. These were traditional broken link icons. When I copy the image location for one of the missing pics, this is what I get. C:\Documents%20and%20Settings\DON\My%20Documents\W EB%20PAGE\dir_bikes\bikes_files\image003.jpg Are you using your own computer as a server for parts of your web page? Just curious. EDITED to add: The locations of your other images (on other pages) all begin with "http://home.insightbb ..." | I just visited your site Don.. LOOKS TERRIFIC! You've done a great job putting it all together! I've said in my other posting, I'm new to this, but, I've spent alot of time searching the web for stories and information regarding the 'right' diet for me, you're site will be an insperation and alot of help to others I'm sure! (As for your bikes, the pics came up fine here, looks GREAT")) Take Care and TY for all the valuable information Erin |

| <BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by Cue-bald-1 (Don): HMMM, Thanks Maggie! I wonder if the pics are still too "big". <HR></BLOCKQUOTE> I see the broken link is fixed. But, the pictures are such a high resolution that they display too big to fit on a monitor screen. A monitor is limited to 96 dpi (dots per inch), so a grapic that is, say, 192 dpi will appear to be twice as large on screen as it will in print. Would you like me to resize the bike photos so they are suitable for the web (small file size and display fits in a typical browser window)? ~~~Teelbee 174 (Mar. 2002, highest weight), 164 (Jan. 2003, begin LC) 164/135/137-134 remember, amateurs built the Ark, professionals built the Titanic |

| Thanks all! I'm thinking about the picture of self. LOL Maggie I think I know what part of the problem is. I started the bike page with the ISP's editor and then later edited it with Word. OH MAN, such a mess! LOL So, there was some script code that Word used to point to the picture on the hard driver and I think that even if I did have the proper script to point to the file on my site, the border I put around it forced Word to hijack it again. I think I have this fixed now, please try this link now: http://home.insightbb.com/~athuddriv...kes/bikes.html Thanks to all!!! HANG IN THERE!!! | Thanks to EVERYONE! Maggie...you are a doll! OK, some lessons learned... WORD SUCKS as an HTML editor. LOL OK, who said, "I [could have] told you that!" ROTFLMAO!!! I downloaded a trial version of Dreamweaver 2004 and commanded it to clean up Word HTML. (Obviously, I am not the only foolish soul to need that help. LOL) It really got rid of some serious doo doo. So, the bikes page is pretty clean I think. Maybe too many tables but next "clean" page I start I will see what else I can do to keep it cleaner. THANKS ALL. HANG IN THERE!!! | Don, another thing.. one thing i learned in class when you are building a page, you should look at it in as many browsers as you can to see if it works in all of them. I honestly only check in IE and Netscape as those are the 2 most used. I'm in the process of updating both browsers (ordered them on CD as i dont want to wait for d/l on a modem) as I am finding that some of the CSS coding doesnt work in the browser i have on my lap top. the time i looked at your page a few days ago, all looked and loaded fine for me... I'm using IE 6, though i never checked it in Netscape 6 HTH My LC web site LCE Member since 12/00 |

| You web authors can always use me as a test of Mozilla for mac osX. If you ask me, I can always go look at your pages and if something looks goofy I can snag a picture of it and send it to you as a tiff by email. Terese, I sent you an email with a couple of screen shots of your pages. There was what looked like a missing link.
