I've been away far far far far too long!

Oooh, I hope you remember me. Wait... in fact, I know some folks remember me, since I've been getting contact from some LCE forum folks, asking where the heck I've been!

Oh, lordy, where do I even begin??

Well, we can blame my job with Fox for my severe absence. I had just started this new gig, working on yet another reality show (this, I promise, will be my LAST) when I was offered ANOTHER job casting a feature film. I had just wrapped casting a feature this summer before taking on the Fox job, and I knew for certain which type of work I preferred.

So... when the offer came, I said YES and am currently working TWO casting jobs simultaneously. AM I NUTS?? Yes... just a little!!

In other news, the new book comes out in just a couple of weeks (ack!) and that will mean a little touring, some book signings, and whatnot. It's just a crazy time!!

So, without doing much reading (I'm so sorry... I really do wish I had the time to catch up completely), I just wanted to pop in and say HI and THANK YOU to you all for sending me little hellos and greetings and all that.

I'm still in this thing! Don't you forget it!!

XXOO and tons of love from Hollywood!

That's great news, Bon!

There's nothing quite like being overly busy with work that you love!

We know you're here "in spirit" and have been posting our votes on your diamond web award thread!

Ride the wave.

Glad to see you back, Bon!!!!! WOW you sound incredibly busy. I know the feeling. Work has been crazy lately, what with the whole (almost) nation closing their swimming pools now. Plus DH and I are gearing up for our second annual Halloween Party. I've hardly posted anything lately. It's so nice to see familiar faces, kinda like a nice warm pair of slippers. Glad to hear from you again!!

Hey Bon!!
Sounds like your life is very full right now...how great for you! Being busy professionally is challenging, but it seems things are going strong and good things are happening. That's wonderful.
As for the book tour...if and when you come to New York, please let us know. I would love to meet you and get a signed copy!

Bon, I had really been wondering where you were. I am so glad that it is just work that has kept you away . I tend to imagine all kinds of terrible things.

You have been missed!

Bon, I have been wondering for days how you were and was thrilled as punch to see your note tonight. Glad everything is ok on your end. We are still here but it has seemed pretty quiet here for the past several weeks. You have been missed.
Hang in there and try to take some time for yourself.

Awwwwww. Yay! Huge HUGE hug to you all. It's been so hard to be away. Please know that it is nothing but work "doing that deed" to me.

I'm the type who would (if I needed to bail on this lifestyle) come give you some farewell speech.

Here's a bit of good news: Em knows how to reach me on the phone, via email, on IM and the whole bit. So, even if I try to run away, she'll come get me. And...

...I won't name names, but others have come and "found me" via email in my absence. So... I'm glad I "outed myself" and made myself findable. I love you all so much!!

The *plan* is to have a book tour that takes me all the way across the country. That way I can spend some time with my LCE friends back east, plus hit a few colleges and universities that have picked up my book as text (either the first or the new book). And... that gets me back home for a visit with the fam and whatnot.

Financing is an issue, of course, and I have to wrap up this godforsaken show first (ugh) and the car just got a "sentence" of a new engine (cracked crank shaft), which keeps me less than "free" to leave the job-job when I'm *emotionally* ready.

All that to say, I'll be sure to "announce" a book tour when/if it happens. I have a national distributor and the book has presold quite well enough that I *should* do a tour. We'll see.

Meanwhile, maintaining in the 180s and thrilled to say so. Sometimes it's all about "holding" and that's got to be a victory sometimes.

I love you ALL and thank you so much for checking in with me. Truly, you are such major supports for me in so many many ways.

Yahoo IM (most weekdays at the office): castingqs (feel free to add me; I'll chat when I can). XXOO and all that jazz!

Bon, you're such a hoot!!! I LOVE reading your posts, so your book should be really good!!! What's it about? If you've mentioned it in another thread, maybe I missed it.

Bonnie's new book is entitled Self Management For Actors: Getting Down to (Show) Business.

It's a real nuts and bolts of the business, covering a wide range of topics, including defining who you are as an actor, dealing with agents, managers, and casting directors, getting auditions, doing publicity, and making a living. Bonnie has enlisted the help of other show business professionals to create a really strong, practical handbook.

For more information on this book, see www.cricketfeet.com/smfa/

Cheers,
Emelia

THANK YOU for the plug, sweet Em. I hope everyone enjoys the book. I've been having DREAMS about it outselling the first book and it's just getting SO exciting for me. Can't wait for the little book to LAND!

Thanks for the support. I'm at 185 and holding (finally weighed myself today). I actually feel good about that, considering how "off" I've been in terms of exercise and TRUE commitment to LCE. It's just been way too hectic.

That's okay, the reconnection to the lifestyle is ON. Thank you for recharging me, everyone. XXOO
