| ....that someone, or SOMETHING is out to get you? That they know what your weaknesses are, and they just wait until you do something to piss them off, before they strike? I can have junk food in my house. It doesn't phase me (hubby and niece/nephew eat it). I can pass it in any store. It doesn't phase me. My cheats are few, and mostly planned. I don't get cravings the next day, and I jump right back on track (tho still have trouble eating MORE veggies - I'm little! 5'3" - there's only so much food you can shove into a confined space!). Someone I must have pissed off in a previous life must have gotten a job working for a candy company. Reese's were always a weakness for me. They started making inside out Peanut Butter Cups. I picked it up, I looked at the carb count, I deducted the fiber, I put it in my cart, I paid for it, (along with some celery, carrots, green beans, and cabbage - go figure). And then I ate it. The whole while I was eating it, my face was scrunched up, and sour looking, because I hadn't had a "real" candy bar since March, and it was very "thick" and overpowering. But I kept on eating it til it was gone. I *wasted* an entire meals worth of carbs (19) on 2 peanut butter cups. But yet, I passed up the new "Carb Smart" ice cream I found at the same grocery store, not 3 minutes before. Ugh! (296/222/135) 04/01/03 The Downward Spiral Begins |
