Hi all, I am so glad to find this forum and think I'll keep it going.

According to my coworker, she heard that Carter will be in and out of this season, and the beginning of next season. He is supposed to get someone pregnant in Africa - but it's not a nurse.

Also, did anyone see this past Thursday's episode? My god, Pratt was totally obnoxious and out of control. I hope the majority of episodes this season don't focus around him due to Carter's absence.

I'm a big ER fan, but I'm still not over Green's death. That was one of the few moments in primetime tv that I balled my eyes out.

I dont think Pratt handles the pressures of the ER like Carter does... and though he can be a jacka$$ most of the time, i do like his character.

by the previews, November should be a good month.

I agree with Patricia about missing Mark Green. I think he really brought heart to that ER. And you are right about his last episode. Even when I watch it on re-runs I am crying all over again.
Last week's episode certainly was action packed. Abby sure has nerve going to her Ex's home and asking for a co-sign. Does this mean they are bringing back that character? Or was it just for that 2 minute scene? I missed the first 5 or 10 minutes (late home from church). Did they mention she was going back to med school, or is it just an assumption?
Pratt reminds me of Dr. Dave. He was such a jerk, made rash decisions, but basically was a good doctor. Carrie hated him.
What about Carrie and her love life? Haven't seen much of them. The actress who plays her lover is now in a Lifetime seris, so I was wondering if she left ER for good.
And a couple weeks ago that "back seat" scene with Elizabeth and that yummy doctor was a bit much.
I really am starting to wonder if Abby and Luka are going to start something up again. I think she wants to, but he's going to be true to that French nurse. She's just so hopeless.

Well, November is soon upon us, which means sweeps. This should mean all new shows, at least 4 weeks in a row.

Someone tell me what I missed the first 10 minutes. I have a feeling it was another scene with Elizabeth and her secret boyfriend.

For some reason I thought it was a rerun and didn't see it. Guess I'll have to wait till the reruns start to see that episode.

    Teri,

dont think you missed much... and yea - Elizabeth was *getting dressed* at Yummy Doc's apt or something. and she called home to the sitter and was saying something about working.... She's feeling guilty about her relationship (thinks it's too soon)

most of the show was on Pratt.... the beginning was him getting ready for work, taking the train - ect... don't think too much happened

as for Carry's girlfriend... i thought they split up after Carry lost the baby and that gal wouldn't get pregnant for them.

i tell ya.. Carry is such a b*tch - think she just needs a *man* **wink** to relieve her stress.

now that you mention it... I bet Abby may go back to Med school. The nurses just get dumped on and i think she;s tired of it. and I too was thinking she'd get back with Luca. they can be hopeless together.... though i'd really like to see Luca get his life back together.

Hi all it's Kameron and I'm back but before going to a challenge post, I gotta talk about ER. Okay why is everyone hating on Pratt??? I may be biased because I have seen several things he's been in so I love him already..Give him a break and try and go through the character changes with him. Does anyone remember when Carter was not a major character? I do and I felt the same way when George Clooney left and then Mark. But I felt like I had been with Carter for a lifetime and so I was happy to see him progress. Remember Pratt is only a second year resident? So we are watching him grow, Carter was not Carter 4 or even 3 years ago. I don't like Luca, why because he is not George Clooney But...I am going to try and take my own advice and grow with him Abby is trying to go back to school she was talking about it last year. Oh that girl does have some issues. I'll tell you all this, if Carter is off the show for good I don't know what I'll do, well I would watch it but I'd be sad So glad to find you all here, now I gotta go join a challenge club cause I have gained 18 pounds since I was last on here!!!

I just went to the NBC website. Looks like Abby will be leaving the hospital as well.

    I like Pratt

i think he's been a tad bit flirtatious with that new gal, even when he was still with Deb.

He's bright, like Doc Dave, though he was quite cocky... he was a good Doc.

Though i'm not crazy about Abby, all her issues and all... i do think it will be a loss to the show if Maura leaves.

well. only 11 hrs to go til show time.

I can't believe Abby is leaving, but you know they will suck us in with someone. Heck I can't even think of the name of the nurse who was before her, the one who had twins by George Clooney. See that goes to show that we get just as involved with the new people Now only 10 hours to show time

Didn't you think last night was a little over the top??!! My DH turned over and went to sleep when they showed that woman burned. I said, "Finally, they back to good old ER blood and guts instead of all the relationship stuff." (Only partly kidding) I did find my tummy turning when they showed her. I'm glad that stupid Dr. left. He was a real liability. I hope they don't kill off Abby. But, I wouldn't hate to see Dr. Romano leave. He is a real idiot!! I really like Luca's new personality.

Again, I missed the first 15 min. of the show! This time I was home from church, sick with a cold, but fell asleep the last 10 min. of CSI and the first 15 min. of ER. So not only did I miss the ending of CSI, but the beginning of ER. So if anyone here saw CSI, please tell me how that ended.

I liked yesterday's episode too, at least what I didn't miss.
Do you remember many moons ago, that Mark Greene cleared Triage the very same way Luka did?
And what an idiot that new resident is! Last week you really saw what a lazy bum he was. Always on the phone, he kept handing off patients to other doctors, etc.
I think Luka is going through the same stuff that a lot of the doctors on this show have done. Mark Greene, and the Eric LaSalle character too. Greene went through a period first when you loved him, then, during and right after his divorce, he was a jerk, then you loved him again.
The LaSalle character you hated at the beginning, then after he had his son, he softened. Then he was a jerk again.
And, yes, I agree with you Peg, I was glad to see ER back to focusing a little more on the stories of patients instead of the soap opera drama in the ER. That was pretty graffic, the woman setting herself on fire. I thought when she went into the car and grabbed the brown paper bag and sat down in the car, it was a bottle of booze. Boy, was I surprised.
I think they need Romano as a character that you love to hate. He makes me think of the cardioligist that Susan had to deal with in the first season. Do you remember what a jerk he was, then, after several episodes of him being a major jerk, she saved his life? In this show, you really need someone to hate.

I thought it was a little over the top--specifically having that woman set herself on fire and then everyone feeling sorry for her.
At first I couldn't imagine them letting Abby go, but you know, she has been SUCH a downer in the last several episodes. I kind of like the new nurse, but it is driving me crazy trying to remember what other show she was in. Does anyone remember?

I too thought the psycho mom was getting booze out in her car. What a SHOCK when she pulled out lighter fluid. That was truly gross. What a selfish bi*ch for doing that in front of her son. I guess the dad won't have to fight for custody now. I wish they would calm things down a bit and focus more on a few of the patients instead of having a million things going on at the same time. I find that dizzying at times. I like the medical stuff and whenever I have been to an ER here in the Chicago area, it's NEVER that crazy. But, I still like the show and will always be a fan.

I did watch CSI, boy was THAT a weird one. It turns out, the guy in the WOLF outfit was jealous of the "Racoon" guy, because he was seeing the "Lamb". So Wolf smeared the civet and ipecac oil all over "Blue Kitty", which apperently "racoon" licked, so he would get into something with someone other than "Lamb" and end up sick. Racoon ended up ingesting some of the ipecac and getting sick, so he and "lamb" left the party. While in the car he began to vomit, "racoon" got out of the car. "lamb left him on the side of the road, felt guilty and went back to get him. Before she got back (and hit him with the car) a farmer thought he was a real animal and shot him, which caused him to stagger into the road where "lamb" hit him.

This was the MOST bizarre CSI yet. The creepy thing about it is that people REALLY do dress up like that and have their little orgies. It's a bizarre underground thing. Creepy, creepy, creep, but I guess.......to each his own.

I love Er too!! I didn't care for the lady on fire thing but I guess they have a hard time thinking up new stuff.I wish Abby and Luca would get back together.I actually am amused by Dr Romano, he's a pain but really he just does and say's what alot of us would like to sometimes.

That CSI episode was really wacky WOW , There are some really imaginative writers on that show.
