A hint on these types of pics, take a few that you like and then crop it REALLY close to the face. I know it seems like it'll be too closely cropped but, by the time it gets put up in that little corner, that's the only way we'll be able to see it.

Check out mine to the side. It's cropped VERY closely so that not even all my hair is in the pic.

How do you put your photo in that box? ive done it before from the old webpage but cant with this new webpage...im sure im doing something wrong...ok not im sure but i am...lol

Hi, Helen.

Take a photo and crop it to a square. The avatar is going to be 48 pixels by 48 pixels, so the smaller your pic, the better and it HAS to be square, since the site will force it into a square anyway. If your pic's not square, there will be distortion.

Then, get the picture on the web somewhere. Most ISP's will give you some web space for a small home page. You can host it there.

Once it's on the web, copy the URL of the picture (NOT the page it's on - the address will end with .jpg - not .html)

Then copy that address into the custom avatar feature on your profile page.
