We haven't had a tree for the last 3 years (we usually travel around this time but not this year) so I'm VERY excited to have a tree!

And then, today at the swap meet (flea market), I ran across some gorgeous glass ornaments from the Czech Republic for only $1 each! I just added them to the tree and had to take a picture to share.

And beautiful packages, too....I see you weren't on a mission to use up the wrapping paper odds & ends this year like I was!

Happy Holidays!

Beautiful tree Marcie!
I think it's even bigger than my 18 inch tree.

Hi Rob!

I was posting right when you were.

Yeah, it's a 10 footer. Takes me about 3-4 hours to put the lights on! All 1,200 of them.

It's alot of work but the result is worth it

Oh, what a gorgeous tree! I didn't put up very many decorations or a tree inside this year because of my 7 month old kittens and I really miss them. In the meantime, I'll enjoy your tree and wait for next year. Also, those gifts are wrapped so prettily.

Since this is the "tree thread" I'll include a picture of my tree ... or should I say Bob's tree? Bob "guards" it most of the time. The ornaments on the bottom two "layers" are twisted on to prevent their removal - after taking them out of the dog's mouth several times - and the presents have been hidden in the closet. Bob (along with Erik the Red and Dr. Ruth) have developed a penchant for tissue paper. *** sigh ***

Some of the ornaments (the peace symbol and the snowflake) were made from cardboard, elmer's glue and glitter, more than thirty years ago. At the time, I was expecting, it was my first Christmas away from home and we were DIRT poor. It was a "popcorn garland and home-made ornament" year. I'm surprised that they have survived this long.

... then again, at the time, I didn't think I'd survive this far into the future. LOL!
