    There was a documentary on Discovery Health Channel this week called "Trash Can of Skin". It was about a British woman who lost 309 lbs and then had extensive surgeries to remove the loose skin. She lost the 309# on a LC diet and it just amused me that someone, somewhere, was watching that and grumbling, "Yeah, but that was all water weight"

    no she isnd dead but she was a vegeteran befor going on Atkins.

    Tara I didnt see that one but I did see something simular on Extreme Make overs. This guy lost a ton of weight(forget how much total) and he had large amounts of skin just hanging all over. The surgery took off like 10lbs of skin from his neck, arms, stomach and thighs. Increadable!! He looked fantastic after it was all over with.

    yeah, if you can imagine, she had a total of 37# of skin removed in one procedure. OWW

    I saw that! Incredible! She had to come to the States to have the procedure done since it was so much skin. A very risky surgery.

    I think 309 pounds of water weight is too funny!!

    yes the brit doctors thought she would die, with that ammount of skin removed.

    but then the vegeterains would have loved it

    Yeah, Lez, I don't know if you saw it, she did have complications, several areas of her waist incision that took forever to heal...it really, really was an incredible story. How much she lost and how much pain she endured afterward. All I can say is WOW!
