I'm curious about the "Chocolate Mousse Pillow" bars

"Everything Else" at Low Carb Diet Support: "I've only seen these sold in Trader Joe's and there is no Web address on the label. I think they are great but I'm curious about the company that makes them. The label is not ...."

I've only seen these sold in Trader Joe's and there is no Web address on the label. I think they are great but I'm curious about the company that makes them. The label is not real clear but I think the company name is "Carb Safe" and I believe they make several other good products like the White Chocolate bars and they may be the same company that makes the Chocolate chip cookies.

Does anyone know where to buy these products outside of Trader Joe's. Any info on them like a Web address?

Thanks - I'm new to the site as of today (1/21/2004)

Ron

Hi and welcome!
The name sounded SOOO good I looked them up. They are made by a Spanish company called Torra's. I found them on Carbsmart- online and on sale.
Here's a link that should take you directly to the product.

Have you tried them? They sound delicious! They do contain maltitol, a sugar alcohol, so be wary, but let me know how they taste. Could be a good, occasional treat!

Hi, ronnieu!

I don't know the answer to your question, since I don't have any Trader Joe's near me and I have to avoid sugar alcohols.

But I did want to say "Welcome" and, make yourself at home!

Hi Ashley,

Thanks so much for taking the time to post. The product I'm talking about is different. However, the Torr'as products look good and I might give them a try..

Regards,
Ron

Beware of candies baring sugar alcohols. Those goodies are LOADED with maltitol. That and Lactitol are the ones that REALLY send me screaming to the toidy. Just a heads up. Some people get insulin spikes from it also.
