I used to be indecisive...But now I'm not so sure!
Mr. Greenjeans was my first crush. To this day I still have a soft spot for a man in overalls...
I also loved Mr. Moose and his subtle subversiveness. And Bunny Rabbit. Guess I just loved the whole show.
Must be getting old (sigh).

It was my fave, too. Mr. Greenjeans always reminded me of my grandpa in his overalls. Very sad.

I grew up on Captain Kangaroo...every Saturday morning, I was of the faithful crowd.
It's a shame our grandchildren won't get to experience his wonderful, gentle spirit.

I agree with you Summer, but we still have memories, right? Hold on to the good things.

I remember the reruns of Captian Kangaroo on PBS when I was really really little. I loved it, it was my favorite show. Didnt he always get ping pong balls dropped on his head every episode??![]()
I was lucky enough to be in the 2002 Rose Parade where Mr. Rogers was one of the grand marshalls...he was so kind, I never knew my grandparents, but I always imagined that my grandpa's might be like him.

Remember Dancing Bear? And the way Bunny Rabbit used to always trick the Captain into giving him carrots?

Trina, I'm in mourning too. Captain Kangaroo was my favorite when I was a kid.
Let's remember some things from the show:
Mr. Moose, I loved him
when all the ping-pong balls would fall down
who was it that would fall asleep, snore & whistle?
Take care~

Made me very sad to hear about his death this morning. Especially when I thought back to how long it had been since I used to watch his show. But then I figure he's on tot eh next stage of his existence, whatever that may be, I know for him it's a good one.
