Lol. I live in Michigan, where it is as cold as a witch's boob in a brass bra! We got slammed yesterday with snow...snowed all day and well into the night! This is the second snow day for the kids (mommy's going bald, due to pulling her hair out). Oh, there was a 35-50 car pile-up on the freeway a 10 miles away from here (depending on the news that you listen to, that is a wide range of cars!), due to white-out conditions. And, we had to go and shovel the drive every couple hours....it seemed like a losing battle....but got our exercise! The snowmobilers are having a heyday blasting through the drifts and piles of snow that we worked so hard at piling up. Ah well! OH...just found out....village plows took our mailbox out....it is laying on the ground. GRRRR.....and the mail lady won't leave the mail. Oh, the joys of winter!

Well when I lived in Alaska, we would say "It is colder then Eskimo poop (cleaned up a bit)

It is a beautiful sunny day here in Dayton. The snow and ice are sparkling and it looks like a postcard.
To bad it feels like a deep freezer!!! BRRRR

Central Coastal CA here, where the sun is peeping through some clouds today, high will be about 63. Sorry, all you snow bunnies!!

Our saying when it's cold here is "cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey" which is NOT what it sounds like - in the olden days of ships with cannons, they had a brass plate with indentations to hold cannon balls - this plate was referred to as a "brass monkey" - when it got cold, the brass contracted, which would knock off the cannon balls - hence the saying! Hey, that's what I read, and I'm stickin' to it!

I've never really seen snow and always wanted to.

Its the middle of summer in Australia and its been 36 degrees celsium (not sure faranheight). But very hot.

I desperately want a white christmas one day though.

Keep warm and I'll try to stay cool!

Much too cold here in central BC. Today it;s minus 25. The wind is howling and I would rather be in bed. My hubby says it's as cold as the balls on a brass monkey.

It's currently a balmy 37 degrees and sunny here in Denver and hopefully more of the ice left over from Sunday's unexpected snowstorm will get melted off the sidewalks.

North WI is 0 with a windchill of -20. I haven't ventured out yet. Luckily, my job lets me schedule my work so I'm going tomorrow instead of today. Last week on my run up north, I drove through white out conditions there and most of the way back. I almost stopped at a cousin's for the night but going in from the north and leaving on the south side of that town was like the difference between night & day. We've had lots of snow in the last week also.

A friend asked me to go to Jamaica with her in March. I wish it was now.

Yesterday it was 83 and sunny. I was in my bathing suit by the pool, not in the water, to cold for that. This morning it was 45 and very cold. the high is supposed to be 60 and for Florida, that is cold. Tonight low 40's again, need to get out another blanket. Hope this doesn't last to much longer, we are very spoiled down here.

In the state where I live, we have a town called Hell (honest!) Hell is currently frozen over. I live about 4 hours north of Hell. Does that give you some idea?

Here in north Florida we're expecting our coldest night so far this year -- around 20 degrees. That doesn't sound cold to northerners (I'm a transplant myself), but the older construction around here isn't designed for such weather. No insulation, windows that don't seal worth a darn, exposed pipes. When we get cold snaps like this, there are invariably several house fires from people using space heaters and either letting stuff get too close or overloading electrical circuits. A few years back we got an inch of snow and the whole northern part of the state was paralyzed!! They had to CLOSE the interstate! (Bridges iced over and the nearest salt truck is about five hundred miles due north!)

It's different down here...
