The word is 'lose,' the verb form of 'lost.' 'Loose' is an adjective describing something not tight. I don't even thing 'loosing' is a word.

Let's try it in a sentence!

I want to lose weight.
I am losing weight!
I have lost weight.
I am a big loser for posting this.

But I had to.

I think most of us have pet peeves of one kind or another, Libby. That's just being human.

Another part of being human is that it's really difficult to be perfect.

What is important here though, is that no matter how we spell (and I'm very guilty of spelling atrocities, myself) we make allowances for members of our LCE family, as we would our "real" family. It's the sharing of support, information, and friendship that makes this place work, no matter how we express it.

Libby, I'm sure you were being humorous, and heaven knows, the world needs more humor, but feelings have gotten hurt unnecessarily on a similar thread in the past, therefore I'm closing this thread.
