| I've read about this "Browse Blast" that my ISP has been promoting. I figured, yea, right, it is one of those give-me-back-their-cached-page deals! But it isn't! It is actually a new technology based on compressing the data stream. I signed up and I am very impressed. I am now getting DSL/Cable speed for the price of my dial up! Now, there is some image quality lost if you have it set very fast, as I do now, but you can always change you settings if you are needing a page with crystal clear images. If you want more info, my ISP is Arczip. I don't know if other ISPs are doing this or not. I just wanted to share! ![]() |

| I'm glad you told us about this because I have SBC dsl and I think it sucks. I have had more trouble with it then its worth. Then to top it off it cost me $40 dollars a month for it. See in this little town I have no choose but SBC its the only phone company with a local number. [This message was edited by Lisa98 on 03-22-04 at 03:12 PM.]

| I'm with you Lisa! I have SBC Yahoo DSL and I hate it. My pc seems to just freeze up all the time. Then I get the lovely pop up saying SBC browser has a problem and needs to close! I will be right in the middle of something and...poof gone! I'm glad I got it for a special $29.99 a year rate. (for the first year) Thanks for the tip Sharron. I may be canceling my isp.

| AT&T worldnet just introduced a web accelerator this month. It does speed things up quite a bit. And if you want to see a picture more clearly you just right click and refresh with full quality. |
